Awesome job everyone.
Just had a question, how can you recieved both caption awards but then get 2nd place?! Was this another result of timing penalties?!

This isn't overly rare. Usually is the result of very close scores in these two categories and maybe a little larger score gap in other areas such as band or what not. Or the competition uses raw number scores for captions but judge rankings for final placements, etc. There are other possibilities, too, I am sure. I'm not sure which is the case here.

It's not that common but it's still a thing. This is actually like the 2nd time this has happened, I believed Mr.Zions competition also had results like this. It's a sight to see, that's for sure.

Just as a quick little note (probably a little too picky), we awarded Best Visuals, not Best Choreography. It’s a little bit more encompassing of transitions/facials/costumes and things like that.

Honestly, it's super nice to see that not making finals at Milton didn't bring Sauk Prairie down. Great job everyone!

I watched the live feed back and filled in preliminary awards. With all respect to the folks at De Pere, that prelim awards ceremony was painful. Anyhow, if I missed anything or if folks want to fill in Mayville's best male soloist's name, please do so.

Slight change to our finals judging panel, as it will now be Johnathan Ulrich, Anthony Cao, Erin Colwitz, Kent Paulsen, Nick Quamme and Sarah Parks.

If all goes well, a livestream to the Destination De Pere: Let’s Jam Facebook page tomorrow morning.

Finalists (whoever they are) will perform in the same order that they performed in during prelims.
