It's the first time I've noticed it with managing events on here. Lots of states do multiple finals divisions (most notably Indiana), but it's not as common in Wisconsin. I'd be curious to know what the differentiating factor between intermediate (listed as open above) and prep is.
The divisions were all by director choice. Our intent was to provide schools another option between "prep" and "open class". I was inspired by our middle school choreographer Ally Farrell and what they do at Teays Valley, Ohio as well as what I've learned about the California honor system for divisions. I'm hoping that it allows for more competitive divisions.
Thank you to all of the groups that helped make this such an amazing day! According to our data, it's looking like our live stream reached approximately 12,000 people. It's so amazing to see that the show choir community is alive and well! We hope to see you all again next year, mark your calendars for January 30, 2021!!!
I've just received word that Parkview Pizazz will no longer be attending today due to the weather down by Orfordville. We wish them well on the rest of their season, hopefully we can host you next year!
Parkview’s just had it brutal this year - this is two straight weekends they weren’t able to make it to their scheduled comp. Hopefully the weather turns soon!
We're trying something new this year, and will have a live stream of the entire day's competition. The live stream may end during longer breaks. Here's the link: https://ensemble.cesa10.k12.wi.us/Watch/c4E3Crq5
Sorry if it looks that way, edit buttons make for sticky situations! Was replying to a previous sentiment expressed by a Northern Lights member that has since been removed.
Yeah sorry for the mistake! Turns out my mother thought she was logged into her show choir account when she was actually logged Into mines. All the show choirs are going to do spectacular! It was just her predictions. Sorry for the mistake everyone!
