Woot. Now for the obligatory post-competition essay. ;)
Thank you so much to Colby and all of the volunteers who made yesterday so amazing. I can only hope the rest of our season will be as fun and dance-party-filled as yesterday was!
Shout-out to Preble's Rendezvous ladies, who took home their first trophy ever with 3rd place in the Festival Division yesterday (with me assisting on cowbell and tambourine)! CS is also pretty proud of our 1st ever Best Vocals award and our highest placement ever at Colby, so we hope you enjoyed our shows as much as we did.

Festival:
1st - Lodi Special Effect
2nd - Rice Lake Gold
3rd - Preble Rendezvous

Best Female Soloist in a Show - Brittany Enderby, Preble (love her...)
Best Male Soloist in a Show - Jack Janowicz, De Pere
Best Solo - Jack Janowicz
Best Duet - two girls from Lodi

I didn't get to see everyone's shows, but the ones that I saw were absolutely amazing.

Altoona - Don't feel bad about what you guys did yesterday. It was a great show that had me on the edge of my seat the whole time, and I'm confident you guys are only going to get better over the course of the season. With Cris doing half of your show, how could you not? ;)

Eau Claire - I didn't know what to expect, considering this was my first time watching you guys, and let me say I was duly impressed. Your diction and energy was through the roof; just watching your faces, I could tell every single one of you was having a blast. I have a hard time believing we passed you!

Janesville - What can I say? Year after year, you guys just bring it, as singers, dancers, and performers, to every show and every song. It was just as awe-inspiring and incredible as usual, and let me say that nobody in CS minded losing to you guys. Thanks for being so nice after awards, and we'll see you at New London! (It was great getting to meet you too, Ben!)

Colby - Wow, I loved your guys' show so much, especially I Want to Break Free and Imagination. I don't know how you put all that energy in after an exhausting day of hosting... Your improvement from last year is through the roof, and I can't wait to see y'all again at New London. Keep up the great work, and thanks again for a great day!

I believe that's the order of the afternoon as well. It's always a great day!

Never mind preparing the Spots' show, you gotta get your stummick ready...
and you gotta get Ben to post the schedule...

No, it's not a bad thing at all. I'm just worried that since I forgot about until you I read your post that I won't have ample time to prepare for such exquisite dairy products!
