An all-Cedar Rapids festival with Jefferson, Washington, Kennedy, Xavier, Prairie, and Linn-Mar would be awesome. Or a Davenport area event with Davenport Central, North, West, and Bettendorf.

I believe all the CR schools have competed against each other twice in, let's say, a more modern era of show choir.... Benton 02 and Great River 07. That's it. They might have all faced each other back in the day at a Benton or Urbandale competition... Idk.

Edgewood had thought about doing something like that. For a few years, we hosted a show choir workshop for the schools in the conference. It was rather sad because Brown County is the only other school in our conference that has show choir. Having the other five schools watch Edgewood's show, their jaws hit the floor. I wish that other schools in the area had show choir. Mooresville and Brown County are the only two schools within an hour drive that even know what show choir is.
Pekin is like that too. We have a choir fest for our conference, but it would be really cool to have a show choir fest too, but the only other school that has one is Dunlap (I think), and they're non competitive. We used to have Morton, but they've dropped the program I believe. The closest show choir that competes like us is El Paso Gridley. I wish we had more in the area that were closer, just like marching band (which ironically every school in our conference has).

What would be especially neat would be if you could figure out a way to have fair "conference championships" with schools that are all in the same athletic conference. For example, it would be neat to put something together with Monona Grove, Fort Atkinson, and Milton, or Onalaska, La Crosse Logan, La Crosse Central, and Holmen. Maybe the judges could just be choir and band teachers and dance team coaches from other schools in the conference. They might not know all the ins and outs of show choir but they would know music/dance in general.

It wouldn't be ideal but I'm not sure how else you'd do it logistically.

An all-Cedar Rapids festival with Jefferson, Washington, Kennedy, Xavier, Prairie, and Linn-Mar would be awesome. Or a Davenport area event with Davenport Central, North, West, and Bettendorf.

In order to really be worth it, though, you'd have to space everyone out enough so that everyone could watch everyone else.

... sigh. fixed.

to change the subject, I'm a big fan of these small weekday competitions. Little tri/quads between area choirs would be fun ways to spend a couple of hours, don't you think?
