Euclid - You might've placed 6th in Finals, but you were clearly the crowd favorite during the day. Nearly everyone in the room gave a standing ovation. The momentum y'all gained as you went through your show made for an explosive closer. I don't even know how to put it into words, but it was an amazing high energy performance. I also never realized how badly I wanted to see Flo Rida's "Low" performed in show choir.
Thank you so much! It'd great to feel the support from everyone! We appreciate it more than you guys know. Congrats to all the competing choirs yesterday!
I stopped by for afternoon prelims. I just couldn't pass up the chance to see these fantastic choirs and out-of-state groups in my own backyard! Results look about right from what I saw in prelims, probably how I would've predicted it if I did such a thing. Anyways, few highlights:
Solon - This revolutionary war show has grown on me the most this season and I can confidently say I love it. JR is quite the vocalist! Your second number and second part to the ballad are also favorites for me.
Daniel Hand - Second Northeastern school I have seen after Andover visited Ohio last year. DANG. What a show. It was a pretty straight-forward story show about Salem which I appreciated, though the noose had me feeling all sorts of ways. Dramatic/awkward ending. I think I liked it overall. My favorite part was Alanis Morissette's "Uninvited" - CHILLS the vocals paired with character movements were perfect. The moment y'all started performing, the energy completely changed in the auditorium in the best way possible. One of the better versions of Hamilton I've seen in a show too. Thanks for visiting Ohio!
Albertville - I'm not a huge fan of invention/historial-themed shows as they just seem to have a different energy to them, but y'all executed it very well. Definitely looked different from when I saw y'all at Wapak in 2014, but the visuals were precise and the airplane effect was certainly memorable. I appreciate that you're one of the only Southern groups that makes it a habit to venture up this way.

Fairfield - Different type of show from what I have come to love about you guys, but I admire the celebration of 50 years of Choraliers. The ballad made me tear up, not quite to the extent of the grandparents last year, but still thanking everyone who has helped along the way and looking forward to the songs yet to come. Incredible, really. I'd love to learn more about that ballad. Real quality performance. Congrats on the GC.
Twinsburg - Perfection and such a fun show. It may seem like I'm an obsessed fan showing up everywhere y'all are, but I promise I won't be in Connecticut next week.
Finals are listed in no specific order on the site. Congratulations to VIBE for placing first in prelims!! Way to represent New England show choir well ;)
Do you know if all divisions will be able to qualify for a place in the finals round?
Fairfield Pure Elegance will be able to (since they're the only Single-Gender group competing), but for festival I want to say no... not certain about that though
