So, even though there was only 1 single gender group, they awarded them Grand Champ or did they have to compete against the mixed groups (per the rules I read on the FAME website)?

Belfast Voice & Dance Academy took 3RU and Best Male Soloist (Carter Gibson) and Best Female Soloist (Naomi Hunter). Whenever we do get full results, we won't be able to post BVDA quite yet as the database only supports choirs from Canada and USA at this time. Häakon would have to work some magic on that.

BVDA won the Show Choir Ireland national championship two years in a row in 2014 and 2015, and placed third in 2016 last month. It's a shame FAME NY isn't a more well attended event for this cool opportunity of Show Choir Ireland coming to the U.S. Should still be a good experience for the kids involved, though.
