I just want to give one last shoutout to Medina. This was the first time I have attended and I was thoroughly impressed. Medina is one heck of a host - directors, even out-of-state directors, need to take note when putting together their 2018 tour. The venue was stunning. Totally gorgeous, large stage and auditorium. Medina has a legacy of being one of the best, if not THE best, stage crews in all of Ohio and the competition did a really good job of running on time especially with the various riser setups and set pieces that choirs had. The volunteers were so helpful, the emcees were engaging, and it really was an A+ competition.

Jeff - thank you so very much. Your post means a great deal to our entire production team and me personally. We work so hard to create a magical experience for everyone while still being very efficient, and your acknowledgement of our efforts made everyone's day!

We are very blessed with our incredible facilities and love having so many wonderful guests in to enjoy them at MMS each year!

Thanks again! ~Mike and the Medina production team.

Twinsburg...... I have been around Show Choir for 12 years I have Never seen a Riser break during a performance. Twinsburg kept performing despite the thing collapsing and people falling on stage. Thank you Jeff Clark for screaming stop because these kids were going to perform through it to the point I was afraid someone was going to get hurt. This group showed a Ton of guts. To have to stop reset and redo during a amazingly intense finals was nothing short of fantastic . I was amazed by them.

I was thinking about this the other day and if it's happened anywhere else! A judge had to stop a group back in 2010 at Waukee when their raiser fell off and they kept going! Such an intense moment when that happens. Congrats to Twinsburg, that can be such a defeating moment and I'm sure they handled it with grace!

Sorry, folks. I left before prelim awards so I could get back to this.

But I did want to add that FFE's performance was really great. Novelty number was very cute and the dance break in the closer was insane.

The ETC soloists alone were worth the price of admission. What an experience.

This new-look Solon is also really interesting. I like Jarad and Tori's visuals. I'd also expect them to take best band.

Grove City and Olentangy were really great too. Grove City is looking probably better than I've ever seen them. I really enjoyed everything Olentangy had to offer too. Choreography and the band feature were really cool.

Twinsburg killed it earlier. They sounded really great. I also love how during the rain delay even the umbrella is bedazzled. Because of course it is.

Beavercreek just finished and their ballad was crazy! I had chills.

I think they've been around that 40-49 for most of the time Lanoue has been there. I think they only really hit 50+ a few times in the mid 2000s. It is surprising though to think of a group like them not have over 50 kids. Shows how much talent they have!

I swear they had 75 people during those legendary dance breaks of the Nancy Slife Era!

I never thought I'd see a day when Twinsburg had under 50 dancers. Back in the day they had a ton!
