After SE Polk tonight, it's clear Dowling Catholic will be a contender for GC at Emmetsburg. Good luck, Dowling and Jody White! This group is the success story of the season.
LeMars "Crimson and Black" were the finals champions in 2003. Urbandale Studio captured the next three championships, and in 2007, Johnston was the champion. Finalists from 2007 were Johnston, Bloomington Jefferson, LaCrosse Logan, Hastings "Riverside Company" and Johnstons Prep group, along with the 2A-1A top scoring group which was Sioux Center.
Omaha North has had to cancel- so there is an open time available in this year comp.
I wish we were going back this year! Last year was the first time we went to this invite and I had tons of fun. We finished up towards the top too so thats always a plus. Getting pelted with snowballs when we got off the bus wasn't too fun.... Good Luck to everybody and i hope that it turns out as well as last year!
This is the first time Crimson and Black will be attending since a few years ago. I know LeMars was grand champs of this competition in 1996 and in the early 2000's i believe.
