I am sure. Contact Nepo at the website above.

I looked on the website and they didn't have anything on Kennedy's Invitational.

I still haven't gotten my Gretna DVD, so I especially praise the fact that Kennedy got their DVD's out quick. Are they still accepting applications for orders?

Really? Five days after the competition, for me being local, is probably about average I'd say. But it's certainly not late or anything so that's nice.

Edit: The DVD may have been picked up and not delivered, I'm not sure.

I forgot to ask when I was placing my order. Does anybody know when we should expect the finals DVDs to ship?

Also, does anybody have contact information for the company that produced the DVDs?

I just wanted to take a moment to thank all of the groups and spectators who attended the Kennedy Show Choir Invitational. We had a spectacular day of show choir from middle schools on up to the varsity groups. I want to thank everyone for their patience as we experienced some growing pains in traffic flow in the middle school venue.

I also want to apologize about the problems with the sound yesterday. We have used the same sound and light provider for our event for four years, and this was the first time that we have had serious issues. I assure you that as we go through our review process for this event, we will evaluate what happened with the sound, and take steps to ensure that it doesn't happen again. To those groups and soloists that were affected by the sudden "outages," please accept my heartfelt apologies.

The judges were terribly impressed with the caliber of performances yesterday! They went on and on about how strong and deep the field was, in all classes. Thank you for choosing to spend your day with us. If you have thoughts or suggestions on how we could make the day better for performers or spectators, please feel free to drop me a line at: [email protected]

Congratulations to all performing groups! We hope to see you next year! For now, I'm headin' Thataway!

Just got home after dinner with some of the Momentum kids!

GREAT competition. First i'll put what i had thought day rounds were going to go:

GC: Urbandale
1st RU: Totino Grace
2nd RU: Washington
3rd RU: Xavier
4th RU: Wahlert
5th RU: Jefferson

Obviously that didn't happen. HA!

Thoughts:

Urbandale "Studio 2008"- WOW. I LOVE seeing you guys perform. You always have such high energy and great shows. I hadn't seen you or really heard much about this year. Great performers and great everything. I loved "Soul with a Capital 'S'" I knew you would take this after day

Cedar Rapids Xavier "Xhileration"- You guys are def. the suprise of the year for me. After going from a bad showing at Onalaska to 2nd place against some great groups shows how much the change to Jared Voss is working for you. Your ballad was one of my favorites of the year and Steve was WONDERFUL! Also, best closer of the year. By far. Very deserving of your placing!

Totino Grace "Company of Singers"- By now you guys know how i feel about you. This is the first time I saw you guys since Onalaska and you have come such a LONG way. It was great to see the dancing and everything. The one thing that bummed me out was the fact that the tamborine song wasn't nearly as clean as it was in Onalaska (in my opinion) when you saw the blue side it was like "BAM" here it just didn't hit. I loved talking to Ana and Mr. Voss again. Good luck at Grand River, kick butt!!

Cedar Rapids Jefferson "West Side Delegation"- you guys are starting to get back up there! In the day round your show just didn't do it for me. Finals you were much better and i rememebr the show. The tap was good and i really loved your bows. Something new to watch after the normal bows time after time. Good job

Cedar Rapids Washington "Momentum"- I know you guys are bummed, but you had a good season, and a fun show. It just wasn't working out with the judges. You all know what i thought and how i feel. I am excited to see what happens next year with you guys!

Urbandale "Vitality"- You always make me feel good about "prep" groups. Always good at what you do and shows what wonderful talent feeds into Studio. The best female soloist, great job! you were wonderful

Dubuque Wahlert- Not going to lie, VERY shocked you didn't make finals. As you can see I had you up there. your showing was very strong and i enjoyed the show. The whole no ballad thing threw me off, but the energy was up there the whole time. I can't wait to see what comes out of you guys in the next year!

It was great to meet Damon Brown for the first time, and sitting with some friends I haven't seen forever! Great competition, tho the awards set up was very anti-climatic. It was here are the results, bye. great food, great venue.

The biggest downfall of the day were the mics. they were just not picking anything up. Everyone sounded small and it was kind of sad.

Great job Studio!! To have as many people at home sick and still pull out a win against a great line-up says so much about you as performers and people. To Happiness and Protege', you all did such a great job hosting and putting great shows onstage. Overall, just a very fun day and a beautifully run competition. God bless, Damon
