The groups name si actually spelled ESPRIT and they are from Southwestern High School in Hanover, Indiana. We traveled quite a distance to attend the competition at Southeast HS. We had a great time and were happy to represent Indiana. Jason Johnson has been our choreographer for the past 15 years. He is AMAZING and his choreography is the best in the Midwest. His shows are always very visual and entertaining. Thanks for the nice compliments. I will share this with my students.
Well if you or any groups you know of.. are ever in the midst of hiring a new/part time choreographer.. my name is Meghan Kunz. I have my resume and bio on show choirbuzz.com I choreograph for dance studios and I am also a choreographer in the midwest area. 17 years of dance.
Esprit was very enjoying to watch. To be honest, this is one of my top groups for the year. Great job.

Sweepstakes Award: Sullivan "Singers"
This competition this year was rather long, went til about 1-1:30 AM this morning.
Espirit is a personal new fav. of mine. They are from Indiana and are like Dekalb/Eisenhower. There vocals and costumes were amazing. I don't know who their choreographer is, but the show was all-together awesome.
Also, might I add, Jeff Gemar's new group in Chatham, IL Glenwood H/S "Titan Fever" was amazing. The future for them is going to be great I think. They have a great director, and choreography was done by Gemar's son, Heath. Look out for this group.. they have a lot of potential!!
The final standins that were previously posted have third runner up and 4th runner up switched. These were the actual placements for the awards for this comeptition:
5th Runner up Joliet Central "ShowSteelers"
4th Runner Up El Paso "Modulations"
3rd Runner up Glenwood "Titan Fever"
2nd Runner Up Southwestern "Espirit"
1st Runner up Danville "Delegation"
Grand Champs Sullivan Singers
i loved this competition! except it was soooo long, sullivan was amazing, as was danville. Espirite was really good too!!!! I was a little upset that we didnt get to see the host's full show, but from what i saw of it, it looked threw together and the choreography was staight from music videos, maybe if i saw the whole show it would have been different. what did others think of the host's show!???

This is our first time at this competition and I am the mom who plans the travel arrangements...who is this dance for? I have never heard of a dance after a comp?
this dance is for all of the participants(show choir members,crew...ect) in the competition. its for members from different groups to get to know eachother and have a nice time
