Hey guys--i've read the past couple posts of this subject and i think its kind of getting out of hand. I am the President of Sound System and don't really post all that much on here, but i like to look at it a lot. But i would just like to say we pride ourselves on class in our attitudes towards other groups and classy shows. When we do not come away with the Grand Champion trophy--we don't blame the judges or other show choirs, we congratulate all of the groups in finals by standing and clapping for each group no matter what, and we take what we get in every competition. We also thank anyone that has nice things to say about our choir, and to those who don't have the "greatest" things to say, we just try to ignore it. But just know the "bashing" of twinsburg and complaining that Sound System should have won is not coming from within our group, or anyone associated with our group.

You know as i read everyones replies to this past weekends comp. in norwell i am shocked by how many people are just plain rude to eachother and other groups. why can*t everyone be happy for the groups that did win, as well as the other groups who did awesome. Everyone makes this show choir thing such a political fiasco when really it should be an enjoyable thing. All of us who are in show choir do it for mainly the same reason, we love music, and we love performing. How sad it is that we have to bring other groups down who are working just as hard as the groups who are winning the grand champions. Music is supposed to bring people together but some of you all are causing it to tear people apart..just a thought

Haakon Point for me!
That brings my total to two points.

I'm pretty sure this person was saying the judges do that

Thanks, I reread that and it did sound funny. So I tried to clarify it on the old post.

Maybe they're just a fan trying to follow the rules about registering with a choir.

Thank you!!

Last: I am not a judge or an expert and I do not question out comes. The hosts pay people to do that.

I thought Center Grove should have won and I am not from center grove and I hardly think anyone threw a 'hissy fit'. How dare you offer your opinion when your group went to a competely different competition. Anyone beats HN and all of a sudden their outrageous fans aren't quite as loud and they refuse to clap for the group that beat the Varsity Singers. Get over your yourself. This is all about opinion, from directors picking their show, to producing the sound, to the judging, to this forum. What expert are you to stand above anyone in judgement!

I think it has been said that both groups were great and if I think center Grove should have won, so be it. If you think someone else, good for you. It seems the making of good clean show choir, which should happen more at competitions like these.

First: I am no way involved with the Varsity Singers. I am just a fan of the group that claps for EVERY group. Second: I expressed no opinion of the results of this contest. Third: I have always been a supporter of CG Soundsystem. I like their shows (check past posts please). Maybe this is why I hate to see some of your comments as people end up suggesting they come from the group. Maybe I should not care,it is evident you don't. Fourth: It is just that twirliegirl always blames the judges or the hosts or both when CG loses(Check past posts). Everyone is intitled to their opinion I do agree, but lets do it without calling the judges or hosts out all of the time. Last: I am not a judge or an expert and I do not question out comes. The hosts pay people to do that. Yes I mean judges to judge the out comes.

Just to clear things up. I have never gone to Center Grove High School, nor will I ever be attending Center Grove High School in the future.
Do I like Center Grove High School? Guilty as charged. I try to go to comps to see everyone, but usually only attend those that CG is in. The reason for that is because they are amazing and I look forward to their show every year due to the entire production value. Do I get annoyed when I believe they are not judged correctly. Guilt as charged. I also was annoyed about the placement of the girls groups if you recall from my posting. Noone seemed to care about that.....
Do I have an IP address? Guilty as charged.
I also believe I posted that Twinsburg was a great show choir. Infact, I said, One of the best I have seen.
My opinion was just what it was, my opinion. Hardly a Hissy-fit. But, I haven't changed my evaluation of the judging that day.

This is a highly ironic statement.

If it's all about opinion, then there's not really judgment at all, now is there, even on the forum?

I really don't enjoy reading all these personal attacks going back and forth, so if they continue... well, everyone knows what'll happen.

He means move them to PM if you must fight ;)

Every year this person has thrown a hissy fit when Center Grove does not win a competition. But you will note the kids from the group identify themselves and do not degrade others like this. Just a point..
