just to throw it out there in the middle of all this (pointless) drama, i loved this competition! sure, i thought we deserved a better placement than we got, but crap happens. everyone gets screwed over/shafted....there's no avoiding it, so we just deal.
Oh, we definately performed to the best of our ability. There's nothing we regret about the content or the acuracy or energy of our show. As far as vocals and choreography, we fell in the Top 3. But your right, the judging is subjective. Where we fell point wise, were areas that were compltely up to the judges opinion, things like costumes, and entertainment value. I don't think that we got "shafted", nor do I think there was anything wrong with or show. We did the best we could and unfortunately this time, it wasn't the judges' favorite show. I guess thats how it goes. But we definately performed to the best of our ability. As of January 20, that is. Its only gonne be 30X better come our next competiton. I don't agree with our placement in the end, but I think all the groups did very good. I've still never seen Medina's show. We performed right after them in pre-lims and right before them in finals so I haven't seen them yet. But I've heard nothing but good things about them. And I loved Solon's performance. Their dance break was awesome and their vocals were on point. They were very consistent. All the groups did amazing. It must have been a tough decision. It wasn't our day, but nonetheless, we're still happy that everyone enjoyed our show.

Well if they are in different arrangements then that makes it alot different but sounds like all the groups were very close point spread wise . . does anyone know what it was?
First of all score wise what happened, happened in my opinion a well-respected judge such as Mr. Crandall has no intentions of favoring any groups. He dose his job. In addition, for competitive students, show choir parents, and spectators its one thing to post predictions and their opinions on other groups. But I don’t feel it is ok for potential judges who are supposed to be professional and impartial to post their opinions on any upcoming competitions or the groups they are judging. From my understanding one of the current members posting under this topic is doing just that and is rumored to be a judge at the upcoming "Falls" competition. My biggest concern would be a much larger scandal then the alleged "point controversy" at the Garfield invitational.

There are actually 25 periods in the post Will made. Even still, I don't see the relevance your remark had to this topic.
The competition might have ran smoothly, but during our finals performance Garfield kids came into our homeroom and tore down all of our signs and names that were hanging up on our wall. Our host from Garfield told us it was members of 'Music Express', and also further told us that he was being given a hard time all day for being so nice to us. I don't know what Garfield's beef is with Euclid this year, but it's kind of upsetting. You guys might have ran a good competition, but you weren't very quiet about how much you disliked us. Even still however, we had a great time @ GHHS, and our night was not ruined by the trashing of our homeroom.
And just for the record it was never any Euclid kids who said anything about people not wanting to come back to the competition. It kind of seemed like you directed that post towards us.

WOW!!!!!!! Thats all i can say well this is my first post i am in Euclid *VC and i have been in it for 4 years now and i think by far this is our best show and i am very happy with it....Garfield Comp... 1/20/07 left a very dry taste in my mouth and all i can say is that we stepped it up major time in finals we shouldnt had drop period i just dont know what we did wrong in finals we did what the judges said do from the tapes and we made the tempo be faster so are energy would be better but hay i guess thats life i cant wait for Danville and Twinsburg...Twinsburg up guys are f***** amazing i love your show and i cant wait to see it when you guys host us...and to medina you guys are good and i enjoyed your show....And wow solon your vocals blew me away i thought you guys were gonna get bv......Bevercreek i really got into your show it was also really good and poca you guys always do good...But it was all a pleasure to perform in perlims and finals with you...Cant wait to see some of you guys at Twinsburg...
