Those are pretty messed up. It is funny to think that almost no two judges had any one group in the same place. Those judges were sitting right next to each other watching and listening to the same thing. It is really weird how that works out. Thats nuts, and it really goes to show the judging is open to your interpretation.

Top Eight- (that's all I've got)

Urbandale- 1st, 2nd, 1st (370.5)
Ankeny- 3rd, 4th, 2nd (358.6)
Cedar Rapids Kennedy- 2nd, 7th, 3rd (353.6)
Cedar Rapids Prairie- 4th, 1st, 8th (345.8)
Bemidji- 7th, 4th, 4th (344.5)
Sioux City East- 6th, 3rd, 7th (341.5)
Davenport Central- 5th, 6th, 6th (338.5)
Cedar Rapids Jefferson- 9th, 8th, 5th (328)

The rankings are in order of judges.
EXAMPLE:

2nd- Cedar Rapids Kennedy
3rd- Ankeny
4th- Cedar Rapids Prairie
5th- Davenport Central
6th- Sioux City East

Judge #2-

Judge #3-

2nd- Ankeny
3rd- Cedar Rapids Kennedy

that ballad wasnt jazzy whatsoever, just very out of place!

Either way, it was excellent, you Celebration kids did a damn good job, I believe I talked to Mr. Stolba on the way into the gym one of the times with the guy from here who went to Viterbo...

It was nice talking to you, lol.

here is the deal on the ballad- our show needed to go a bit faster due to set up was taking for ever (why... we have no idea) and so we had to speed the ballad up, which in that case, i can start to see the ballad seeming "jazzy".

And yes, you will be able to see us at Urbandale, where that will be the best ever... because its the last for the season (besides... Mo Show and Disney Land)

A fire alarm during a performance isn't unheard of; happened at Holmen 2004.

It happened to Manteno at "Cross Town Revelry" 1999.

oh yah i know you wouldnt get it mixed up.... and i had read before that you hadnt seen them.... i was wondering if celebration had just mixed things up with that ballad.... i knew they were having a hard time learning it before and i didnt know if it was because they were making it jazzy or what.... oh well!

hmmmmmmmmmm the ballad shouldnt be jazzy at all.... especially since its from "Candide"... but i can see how the others are jazzy! except the swing and the rock and roll guys number.... which are sorta jazzy.... chris... did u make the ballad un-classical? i havent ever seen the ballad

Again....these comments came from parents and other supporters. I promise I wouldn't have misinterpreted classical and jazzy. I guess I'll just have to see for myself later this year.

I just want to say a quick thank you to those who put on the Linn-Mar competition and to everybody who attended. It's always one of my favorites each year and it was definitely memorable as a senior. Thank you.

p.s. thanks Kennedy for the souvenir Spam, it's crazy tasty.

I didn't personally get to watch Celebration perform because we were finishing up critique and putting away instruments and stuff following our performance. I can tell you that several of our parents and other supporters had one word to describe Celebration's performance....WOW! They were very impressed with your choreography especially. The only negative comment I heard was that there wasn't much variety in the style of your show since every song including the ballad are sort of jazzy.

Well, I doubt that Holmen 2004's fire alarm was caused by shark creatures...

The "Faulty Alarm" at Linn Mar was just a big cover up to round the shark creatures back up into their underground lairs... believe me, I saw one of them...

I want to say that I had a great amount of fun on Saturday, and I would like to give an exceptional congratz to Urbandale "Vitality". I would just like to empasize how great those kids were, I met a few on Saturday, and it was very nice talking to them. Good job on creating such a respectful program.

I personally enjoyed Davenport Central "Central Singers Inc.", they were awsome, and looked like they had fun.
