I know it has taken me a while to get on here and input about this competition, but better late than never:

Twinsburg: wow, what an awesome job, you have lived up to your reputation and i also think that it is your best since your blue year. The ballad was pulled off very well and you guys have the performance worth seeing again.

DeKalb: this was teh first time that i have seen your group, and first impressions are definately in your favor. your opener was very catchy and the whole show was enjoyable and kept me alert in my seat. I am glad to see that you placed as well as you did, a well deserved spot for a long time in Ohio.

Marysville: wow, i didnt get a chance to see your guys' show when you hosted us, which really angered me (why dont people use a large enough venue to fit everyone including the show choirs in there?). I wish i would have seen it sooner, i am a HUGE fan of your ballad and closer!!! and the opener... well, ok, the whole show. (anyone from marysville tell sarah jeremy said hi)

Northrup: i am glad i got a chance to see you this weekend, your choir has come a long way and i cant wait to see you up in Lakeview.

Edgewood: you guys are placing real well, your energy is high and you are a good choir, i wish we could go against you again this year though, but im not sure that is happening.

Colerain: your show was very enjoyable to watch, i think that you guys have the potential to be one of the best choirs around with a little more work.

Colubia City lights and heat- i am glad i get to see your shows again at lakeview, they were both really good, you both rocked- especially the girls.

Albertville: i dont knwo how to put this besides- you should have made finals. your show was amazing, i enjoyed the choreography ;). and the song list, i am a biiig styx fan, and the ballad worked for me as well.

Beavercreek: same with you, i would have put you in finals, along with albertville. i dont knwo what happened, but i hope that you had fun, because your show as fun for me. hopefully you get better placings the rest of the year because you deserve it.

I am sorry that i couldnt put somethign up here for everyone, it is hard for the groups that i saw earlier in the day to remember all of their shows, and i dont want to tell Olentangy good job on singing something that Miami East might have sang. once again, sorry for not putting things down for every group.

This was overall a really great competition, you can see by the scores that this was no shoe in competition, first and fifth only separated by 21 points. 6th only 2 pints away, and 7th less than a point away. you all were really good and i had alot of fun. see you throughout the year!

i wanted to write a hearty 'thank you' to everyone that has been paying Marysville compliments. it wasn't needed, and yet you chose to write such nice things about our group anyway. that really speaks a lot to me about the character of the people posting on SCC and the people against which we compete. and while coming in third didn't garner for us the biggest trophy, our group had an amazing time yesterday coming together and performing for a very appreciative audience.

once again, thank you.

EDIT - it appears that while i was composing my entry, john beat me to the punch by thanking everyone. i hope everyone doesn't mind being recognized twice!

Piqua definetly turned out to be a really tough competion. I was there just as a spectator and got more nervous for some of the groups than I do at some of our competitions........ It was tough not being up on stage but none the less...... I had a blast and I have to say that Marysville is off the heezy! I would definetly watch out for them this year......... Congrats to to all the finalists. Just getting into finals at this one was a feat.

Wow, what a long day. I had a blast, getting to see more groups, and I think Marysville was my favorite group overall and favorite performers. Edgewood did an awesome job, you guys were really entertaining. I didn't get to see DeKalb or Twinsburg, but I'll see it sooner or later, and I have no doubt that it's awesome.

Great job and congratulations everyone, I was very impressed.

Beavercreek, I know yesterday wasn't the result you'd hoped for, but you have a great show that's only going to continue getting better. You've been working really hard, and that work is slowly paying off. Chin up, fasten your seat belts and get back to it!!! Results never determine how I feel about a group, effort does. I'm really proud of how you've been progressing. See you soon. God Bless, Damon

great job to everyone at Piqua last night! It definatly was a great competition. I definatly thought it was one of the better finals so far this year. Twinsburg definatly came out firing yesterday, it is the best i've seen them in a couple years. I was interested in seeing their show after what people have told me and i absolutly loved it! It was the first time i've really liked a tburg show alot since the Blue year. I loved their ballad and closer. I also loved Dekalb's opener, it definatly is one of the better ones i've seen. My absolute favorie show of the day was Marysville though. I absolutly love their show this year. Their closer is my favorie one this year and i love their closing costumes. They definatly are an elite ohio group! I do want to say good job to Columbia City though, i really enjoyed their shows a lot. They have stepped up a lot since last year and i was really impressed by their show and energy (especially the soloist!). Good job to everyone there last night! :0)
