Yeah! Anne was our clinician at Rock Bridge's competition and she was awesome! She was so funny! I heart her! LoL! Our choreographer is a clinician at Troy, Chad Alexander, and he's really qualified as well. Well, being that he choreographs Soundsational Singers, Pleasant Hill "Hillside Singers", and Troy "Express". So yeah, he's awesome and certainly knows his stuff! I cannot wait for Troy! Yea!!!~Ash

wow... thats a perty awesome list of judges... They are all really influential in the show choir world and concert choir world. Pete Eklund is a great guy and Anne Chapman is also really fun to be around... along with her father.
Pete Eklund hosts an awesome show choir camp each year in which Anne Chapman is ussually a clinician. (At least she has been for the last three years that I have been to it.

Just think, everybody goes in like that. I'm scared, I've never been before, and I've heard a lot of things..at least I kinda know what to expect, but like several Nevadians don't know what to expect, just BIG stuff. So yeah. Well thats a sound and pessimistic way to think of your show choir performance. You should always go on that stage as though you know that your performance at that very moment dictates whether you get grand champion or not.
And even if you dont get grand champion you are in fact all the better. I personally believe that a fifth runner up finish is a much better position to be in then grand champion. The fight runner up has the knowledge and pride of knowing that they beat out many other capable show choirs to get to the finals, yet they also have the knowledge that they need from the other show choirs in the finals to be able to improve and to grow as a show choir. The only thing that the grand champion has the is the trophy and next years gloating rights.... although that isnt that bad...

I think what Nolan meant by us "getting raped," I think he meant that since there are gonna be so many AWESOMELY GOOD CHOIRS there..that we won't do well. They will make our show choir not look as good. Just takin' a wild stab in the dark though. But anyways...yeah I'm really excited..only 5 days and counting!! I hope to see Lyn there too, from Hannibal. It would be good to put a face to the name. I can't wait to hang out with all of my show choir buddies as well! (Katie and J.B.!) Well, If I was going straight from Truman State it wouldn't be that long, but due to certain circumstances (emergency hair appt ) I have to drive home (to P Hill = 4 hours) on Friday night, then would have to drive all the way across the state to Troy (5 hours) saturday morning, then after the competition drive all the way back to K ville (comp hopefully ends by 11pm, drive = 3.5 hrs = I get back at 3am).
and no, I don't want to stay in a hotel either night for all of you that will suggest it.
Sooo...I would love Love LOVE to go...but...I hate driving. We'll see. I'll decide Friday.
Of course you should drive down. This is going to be an awesome competition with lots of amazing shows present. And of course along with any show choir competition their is going to be lots of people and lots of fun. I would absolutely go to a show choir competition even if I wasnt competing in it.
