Are these results accurate? I certainly do not mean to be rude but I am just severely curious as to what transpired here tonight. From all the knowledge and resources at my disposal, I'm not quite sure how this is accurate. And again, I of course mean no disrespect, just with certain groups history of placements, these are very surprising results to say the least..
Fairfield really wanted it tonight. A lot of people underestimate us and assume that we aren't a top choir, and for a long time, we believed that. They base our choir on how we've done in previous competitions and that is very fair and not rude at all, because we all do the same thing! However, this week we made some major energy changes and for the first time this season, we believed in ourselves and that confidence showed on stage. We worked really hard for this and we were surprised to find out also!
Congrats to the winners and finalist! Fairfield has always had awesome vocals and they have good choreography! I watched all the prelims of large school and am not surprise at the results of finals. I had my sons choir at between 5th and 6th place in prelims before prelim awards. And I had Ross as the one that was either 5th or 6th with them. ( I was told by my sons that they were told the 5th place choir in prelims was Fairfield, which surprised me as I had them in the top three with Churubusco and Huntington) Churubusco was good, great choreography and good vocals, Huntington the same, Churubusco cleaner than Huntington...at least that was my take in prelims. But I am not a judge, just a show choir mom for many years. Again Congrats to everyone! It was a fun day! I loved watching all the choirs perform!

They're as accurate as the official composite I got them from.

Just wanted to add some clarification in case anyone was wondering. Mixed Finals will consist of six groups. Finals will include the top five large mixed groups and the top small mixed group. Small mixed groups, other than the grand champion, are not eligible for finals.
The competition coordinator notified me that Bluffton is small mixed!
Ok, thanks for clarifying. SCC is pretty much entirely user-generated content. So it's frustrating when folks get angry with us for having things posted "wrong," when we're just working with only what we have. I'll update the Homestead event as well so Bluffton is properly represented on here.
