Wow!! There was so, so much talent at this competition. You all killed it!
Momentum, you guys are choreographed by Michael Weaver, just like us, and wow, did you execute. I hope Class Royale will come close to reaching that point in these upcoming years.
I am so beyond proud of my Totino-Grace Company of Singers family. We have come so far since our last competition, and I am so proud of what we accomplished! However, I do want to give a few shoutouts because competing against such amazing groups in finals and prelims was such an honor and I know that sounds super cheesy, but it's true!!
Los-Al ~ Wow. Just wow. That is all I have to say. Amazing show with amazing visuals, sound, costuming, story... Everything! Wow!
Omaha Westside ~ You guys know you are always incredible. You never seize to amaze me with the talent you continue to produce and the level of shows you put on! I love you guys and shout out to my friends in the group for killing it... As always <3
CR Washington ~ When I first saw you guys at Linn-Mar I was blown completely away... Like seriously oh my gosh! Then seeing you again, I swear you blew me into another universe! I have one word for you... ENERGY!!!
Auburn ~ I made so many new friends in this group, and might I just add how beautiful and friendly each and every one of you are! You're all so amazingly talented, and your show was simply AMAZING! Love you guys!
CR Kennedy ~ Totino and Kennedy have not always had the best friendship, but I know that's such a lie! So many friends in this group and all so so SOO talented! Plus, your show was just to die for... (pun intended) anyway, you did it all! Dark powerful vocals in the opener, beautiful choral ballad, best friggin novelty number ever!!!, and an amazing closer with amazing dancing!! I love you guys so much, and shout out to Kim for getting her zombie blood on the yellow oak circle on the Grand Ole Opry stage! Haha!
I love all of you guys so so much and it was so great getting to know so many of you and it was so great getting to share the stage with such amazing people!
P.S. Omaha... Your band was lit af! Straight fire like... Holy crap!
One more thing should be said before this sub-topic is put to bed.
The main reason I stay anonymous is that if I ever posted something I regretted, I wouldn't want it to reflect poorly on my school. I have a few other reasons (director being on this site is one) but I mostly just find it convenient for myself to be anonymous. If sacrificing a little credibility on a website is the price I pay for that, then so be it. I'm just sad that the original intent of my comment was overtaken by everyone deciding to attack me on where I am from, since it does not really matter at all.
This is one of the reasons I love being on these forums. The associated choir gives people an extra layer of self-awareness before posting anything. How will this affect my presence on here and the people around me? I somewhat get why people want to stay anonymous on these kinds of sites but this one I feel is different. We all love this art that we are a part of and no matter what group you're from; we all can find this one place the chat with others from all different walks of life. Jeff and Häakon have done an awesome job keeping this place running.
In Conclusion: I am fine with your opinion that you want to stay anonymous. It is just in the past we have had people doing the opposite of what you are doing. Posting negative comments about a group while pretending to be from a group that wasn't their own.
No snarky tone was intended. I just find more convenience in being anonymous. This is the first time I have ran into people upset by this, and will try to avoid confusion like this in the future. Hope we can get past this and go back to the intent of my comment, which was to congratulate the Totino Grace kids.
On a lighter note, thank you for this. As an alumni of this program, I am ecstatic about how far this group has come and the comments I have heard about them. I am proud to call these people my friends.
Lol. I read that as "...on THESE types of sites" with a snarky emphasis on these.
As an active user of this site, and having seen many of these situations arise, you'll find that more often than not, that you will get more use of this lovely medium and your comments will be more reputable if you don't stay anonymous.

This is a really awesome post because I know a lot of the Totino kids and they are all fantastic it just sucks that your credibility isn't there because of the group you associated yourself with. Given what you've talked about and posted about I'd assume you're from Linn-Mar considering it was the only Iowa competition where Totino would have a space possibly needing cleaning at the end of the day. But it still puzzles me why there is a need to be anonymous if you're posts have all been positive. Opinions and comments like this from all groups matter especially if you want your posts to have credibility but thats just a thought from my end I'm sure there's an argument for staying anonymous as well it just hasn't been brought to my attention yet

But yes, I was their supernova host, and they were awesome.
By the way, Totino Grace's kids are the nicest I have ever met at a competition. I hosted them earlier this year, and despite them being disappointed about their placement, they were asking all of the hosts about what needed to be cleaned up before they left. Couldn't be more happy for them.

Yes, I am not a member of WSD. I prefer to remain anonymous on these types of sites.

I would appreciate it if you would enlighten me on as to how a WSD member was able to host Totino-Grace this year, given that they didn't attend Jefferson's invitational? Also, of the fact that I know of basically everyone in WSD, yet I've never heard or seen your name. Maybe you just accidentally chose the wrong group to associate with??

WOW, What a great competition! The things that made this competition significant for me,wasn't the venue, nor the placement. It was the many special bonds formed here. And in that itself was enough for me😊

Yay!! So proud of Totino-Grace CoS! I had the honor and privilege of hosting them on their way down to Nashville, and I LOVED their show. I'm so happy for them.
Thanks so much! It was awesome being there. You guys are amazing
