Is Marion still attending this one? They are also scheduled to compete at O'Fallon today as well.
Marion attended O'Fallon, thus I removed them from the above schedule. Thanks for noticing!
I'd say based on previous years that this is generally an interesting competition to try to predict. I mean, who's bringing a visual set piece this year? I'm not sure who is judging at Belmont this time around, but they bring in "professional performers, choreographers, casting directors, artists, and music educators." I'm sure they are all well-respected in their individual fields, but it doesn't seem like (at least based on last year) that the judges are frequent adjudicators in the show choir arena which is absolutely intentional on Belmont's behalf as listed in their rules/regulations. I'm not saying it's a good or bad thing, I'm just saying it simply is.
Nonetheless, it's a destination city bringing in diverse choirs from 6 different states. It should certainly be a fun day for folks that are able to make it!
Totally agree. I've gotten word that they've currently marked off a LOT of points for things like they didn't like the fact one of the choirs was being directed by a director during the ballad and that a couple didn't kiss at the end of the show.... I'd like to see where on the score sheet those points are. Interesting.
The out-come of this one should be quite interesting, considering the wide and even range of competitors. Plus maybe we finally get to find out how Gold Edition matches up against the women.

For clarification, they are awarding the top 3 choirs in the Single-Gender division during the preliminary awards ceremony. Also both Mixed and Single-Gender choirs are eligible for Finals.
Thanks, Nick, for posting the schedule. Just for clarification, are the divisions Women, Men, and Mixed that you have in parenthesis? Last year, Belmont was all one open division so I just want to make sure it's posted properly.
Also, anyone have any information on Enrichment Fellowship? The only thing I was able to find was that it's maybe a homeschooling program in Tullahoma, TN?
No problem Jeff! I'm not sure about the divisions... The schedule I found had what was in the parenthesis under "Group Type." The schedule didn't list specific divisions.
