Any idea of which companies were in charge of taking photos and recording videos this past weekend?

So, saying you are proud of the kids that make up the three Fairfield Groups: Rhythm Express, Pure Elegance, and the Choraliers for all three winning Best Vocals, Choreography, and Band gets three down votes?

I do not have the stamina for this conversation. . .

I agree with you. These conversations get exhausting. I gave some thumbs up to try to even things out!

I think the frustrating thing about this competition is handing out the major BV/BC captions during preliminary awards and not during final awards. For the life of me, I do not understand why competitions are still doing this in 2015. It causes so much confusion and frustration. (Some of us here on SCC are able to logistically work through what happened, but what about the students, parents, folks who don't pay as much attention to show choir?) This competition was briefly mentioned by Alex Hall on SCL last night. Alex said that Fairfield was up perhaps 10 in the daytime, sweeping captions, and then fell behind by one point after Finals. More than likely in this scenario, the captions theoretically could've been split after Finals and there wouldn't be this confusion/thumbs down/etc. I think in this regard, Edgewood probably deserved additional recognition as well.

As you said, Fairfield has a lot to be proud of as a choral program. They had an excellent showing at Anderson and perform some really innovative shows. I think folks care more about that than placements. People will forget placements (and the confusion surrounding placements), but they won't forget how shows made them feel.

Let me add, being part of a competition that hosts so many small groups including their own finals, it was great to see so many talented small groups at Anderson. Looking forward to seeing Bishop Dwenger and Ross at Crystal. Also, congrats to Edgewood. We will miss having them at Crystal this year.

Great day for Fairfield! Grand Champs for RE and PE. Best vocals, choreography, and Band. CH take best vocals, choreography, and Band. Fairfield takes all captions for each group. Very proud of this wonderful group of young men and women.

Nice work, Fairfield! Does anyone know the performance order for the women? Did Fairfield perform first or Edgewood?

Speaking of that, anyone know who the judges are?

Dr. Lisa Dawson
Kenny Shepard
Rachel Fox

Deborah Andis
Christopher Brush
Lawrence Fitz
Ron Morgan

I believe the first three are the middle school judges and the last four are the high school judges.

I sure hope they stay on schedule - this is a packed day and long night! Good luck to all!
Thanks for the schedule and yeah I totally agree... long day! The lunch and dinner breaks are pretty generous and I'm sure the judges will appreciate that. (Speaking of that, anyone know who the judges are?)

I'm not sure of the necessity of women's finals here with only 4 total groups performing. It'll be somewhat sad for that one group to be the only one that doesn't perform again. On the flip side, Fairfield women finally have a chance to compete against other women's choirs for the first time this season.

The updated schedule has awards at 11:05
Only 2 Women's Finalists and other minor tweaks to breaks, including announcing the women's finalists after lunch for a quicker turnaround at night.
