Great, now that we have the schedule what are the divisions?
Haha funny story - the schedule didn't have the divisions.
I know in the past they have been weird, putting each school into a division by school size and a division based on school type. So, I would assume there's a women's division, a junior high division, and a high school mixed division.

So I've found the jazz band schedule which tells me that the show choir finals begin at 8pm. However, no show choir schedule was found. Any help? Sorry for being impatient everyone - I just want to know who's going!

So far I know: Fort Madison, Keokuk, Springfield Southeast, Franklin, O'Fallon and Pekin will be attending.

I think Clark County and Althoff Catholic will attend, they usually compete here every year.

It is Kathi Dooley's pleasure to invite you and your performance groups to the 23rd annual QUINCY INVITATIONAL SHOWCASE OF EXCELLENCE scheduled for March 14, 2015. This event has been sanctioned by the National Federation of State High School Associations and will feature outstanding show choirs and jazz bands from high schools throughout Illinois, Missouri and Iowa with the goal of providing a clinical performance setting with competition. Schools will be allowed to select the performance category which best meets their educational goals and objectives. Performance categories will include: JUNIOR HIGH, NOVICE, INTERMEZZO and ARTISTRY levels. Ensembles may also select “comments only” if they choose not to participate in the competition level. Each group will be rated according to a standard of achievement established by the judges for each level. Grammy award winning Chicago keyboardist Barrel House Chuck will be a guest artist throughout the event.

Kathi Dooley's goal is to provide a positive experience for every group that participates. Previous Grand Champions in the Jazz Division include Jefferson City High School, Hannibal High School, Keokuk High School, Mt. Pleasant High School and Bloomington Central Catholic. Pekin High School “Noteables”, Fort Madison “Swingspan”, Columbia Rock Bridge High School, La Crosse High School from LaCrosse, Wisconsin, Springfield Southeast, Hannibal Senior High, Keokuk Senior High, O’Fallon High School, Oswego High School and Herscher High School are included among the talented Show Choir & Jazz Band Champions who have made this day such a great event!

Immediately following each performance, your group will receive a critique session with a highly regarded clinician who will work with your students in response to your specific needs.
Tickets to the showcase will be sold to the public. All participants will be admitted free. The day will culminate with the presentation of trophies at an Awards Presentation. A Sweepstakes Trophy will be presented as well as trophies for Best Individual Soloist, Best Choreography, Best Show Choir Combo and Best Jazz Band Rhythm Section.

The entry fee is $200.00 per group and $150.00 for additional groups (of same kind) from your school. A data form for your information is included in this mailing and additional information will follow. Fees should be sent to - Quincy Senior High Music Department – 3322 Maine Street – Quincy, Illinois 62301. All checks should be made out to QHS/Showcase of Excellence.
