The only South Dakota group I was able to see was Mitchell so I sure hope to see a lot more next year aka South Dakota come to Wisconsin.

Apparently they did, but it was really confusing. The Testostertones performed with the other prep groups in the competition, then there was a break before the varsity groups started. When awards were given, they weren't announced as winning the prep group, then they were announced as finalists. It was like- what just happened here?
It would have alleviated a lot of questions if the people directing the competition would have announced thjat they were competing in the varsity division.
We were originally competing prep, but after complaints from other groups we were moved to "open division" where in terms of points and rankings placed 6th overall. (includes prep, tier 1, tier 2)

That defeats the purpose of these boards. Discussion and opinions (well crafted and constructive) should be expressed... not whispered in private messages. The impression you're giving is that you and others don't quite agree with the results? Just a perception.
It's not surprising to me that Roosevelt and O'Gorman ended up on top. They have VERY solid sets. Both have the entire package great vocals, clean and effective choreo, and awesome bands. I'malso actually not surprised to see Papillion South with Best Choreo. It's very high energy and CLEAN. I thought they might take the choreo caption from Omaha at Lewis Central.

Jeff and I were both at competitions yesterday, so I appreciate everyone's patience while we get caught up with the results. Thanks for getting those for us, and congratulations to Roosevelt on what must have been an incredible show!
