Yeah, I think that this is one of the greatest comps in the South, but I'm a little bias. Anyway, this is the 10 year anniversary of the Southern Showcase, and it has grown every year. This year is better than last year, and hopefully next year will be better than this year. I can't wait for this competition.
All i know is that this is my favorite comp in the south the whole year. I always had the most fun at this one, but for the past few years, this has been on the same weekend as the auburn university honor band. ;) So i only get to see the choirs that come at the end. Which is fine because i always enjoy seeing those groups because they are always "Billy freakin' Vaugn" (thats a good thing). I cant wait to go and see this REALY competitive comp. See yall there.
lol thats funny Ross....you are gonna have to tell me who that group is ;) . anyway, yeah well i bet alot of ppl will be with their b/f and g/f including YOU! considering that i am single and valentines day doesn't exist to me, at least i will be with SOMETHING i love.....show choir! but wait........ you know who MAY be there ;) ;) to watch!!!!!!!!!!! is your show choir excited about coming? this year is the most stiff competition we have ever held. it is also the 10th anniversary of Southern Showcase. We are also having a picture place set up for ppl to get their picture taken with a Valentine backdrop! so spread it around to whoever wants to do that! well ttyl and see yall soon!
I sure do, and there will be people EVERYWHERE this year. We may just have to skip supper alltogether. I just hope everyone keeps a level head and a good attitude, and I hope people understand that they can't just leave one person behind to save 4 or 5 rows. I mean come on, we got into that problem last year, my group came back to find that our seats had been taken by a single girl saving about 40 or 50 seats! I wouldn't have been mad to see 40 or 50 people in our seats, but if all I see is one girl and a few bags in the seats here and there, and the auditorium is already packed, well then we gotta problem there. Oh well, the group shall remain nameless, and i'll just hope that problem doesn't occur this year in Opelika, and besides, we got a formal apology from the school's director. And actually I think the girl was a tech or something, and I think we actually heard she was kicked out of her group.... " border="0" alt="unsure.gif" /> Oh well good luck everybody!
Yeah Lauren it's gonna be an awesome competition. It's gonna be fun, but the competition is gonna be stiff. I can't believe there are that many groups in A! It will be an interesting way to spend Valentine's Day, but hey it will be fun, hopefully everyone's B/F's and G/F's will be able to be there like my G/F and by the end of the day, the auditorium is gonna be PACKED. I can't wait and I'll see YALL there! Good luck everyone!
Yeah this competiton is going to be GREAT! i can't wait to see all of the show and meet a bunch of people! I also can't wait to perform for everyone at the end! Even though it will be Valentines Day, it will be such a fun experience to remember! See yall soon!
