The overall highest score of all choirs was Cabell Midland Rhythm in Red, we would have been the overall State Champions! It was between us and Poca! I'm a proud assistant director, Poca should also be proud for such an awesome competition season along with their Small Divison State title! Way to go Poca and Cabell Midland!
Martinsburg Good Times also won best costumes and best instrumental soloist along with the best band that was mentioned. I was there all day and saw some amazing shows from schools across the state. It was a GREAT day for WV Show Choir!

I only meant that most of them do not typically attend this competition. Capital, Hoover, Morgantown, and Ravenswood do not consistently compete here, so it was "not totally surprising" to see them missing from the schedule. Although Nitro had been consistently attending, so they don't fit with those other choirs in that same sense, but I still thought it was worth acknowledging their absence. That's all I meant.
Thanks for the clarification. Nitro has attended states 15 times out of the last 16 years. In 2001, Nitro withdrew due to several student conflicts. This year we will be competing in Indiana the day of states. Best of luck to everyone competing.
Not sure what you meant by saying "Not totally surprising," when referencing the groups that are not on the schedule?

Schedule has been posted above. And for anyone wondering, Tier I = +1,001 school enrollment; Tier II = -1,001 school enrollment.
In general, it looks like a pretty good showing of WV show choirs. Capital, Hoover, Morgantown, Nitro, and Ravenswood don't appear to be attending. Not totally surprising. And then it doesn't seem like St. Albans has a show choir this year? They've kind of fallen off the grid the past couple years.
Between Byrd's Vocalfest and WVMEA, the WV show choir circuit should be ending with two really good competitions.
