Hate that I missed this competition! I live in Sioux Falls now. I grew up in Mississippi where show choir is alive and well! I've been trying to find some competitions to attend this season that's within a two-hour drive of Sioux Falls. Was this one the only one this season?
March 15 is Best of Show at Sioux falls Washington. I can personally say it is a great competition that has an incredible amount of work put into it, and it is a zero hour drive from Sioux falls

Stage right...with crazy good facials...your brother was the James Bond character!? You're right all the other guys weren't really doing it for me. But your brother, Mr. Bond, was hot!
Lol I'm sorry to burst your bubble but he wasn't James Bond! I'm guessing no one noticed him but me lol sisterly pride.

Nope! There are plenty of other competitions within 2 hours of sioux falls in the upcoming weeks!

March 1st - Vermillion (SD) Rhythm n' Red Invitational
March 8th - Sioux City East (IA) Sing All About It
March 15 - Sioux Falls Washington Best of Show
March 22nd - Mitchell (SD) Show Choir Classic

All of these competitions are within an hour to an hour and a half worth of driving!

Also on March 8th, if you're looking for a good competition, there is a big one in the small town of Emmetsburg, Iowa. The town itself is around 2 1/2 hours from Sioux falls, but they are hosting some very big groups this year such as, Urbandale, West Des Moines Valley, Dowling Catholic, and Sioux Falls O'Gorman!

Great job to EVERYONE involved yesterday! The crew at Roosevelt put up a great event for their first time. I was a little freaked out when I walked in and your school looks EXACTLY like SF Washington. No one warned me lol.
Of course, congrats to New Sound and Headliners. I love you guys! And now I have no voice. (if you noticed a New Sound guy on stage right with crazy good facial expressions, that was my little brother) Also, go Ross!
Emmetsburg High Voltage: I LOVED Bottom of the River. My sister and I were fangirling all day. Also you did Flying Home so I cried a lot. And all your soloists asdfghjkl so good. Just one thing- I felt like you lost energy in finals.
ClaCo: I love your dresses after your first costume change, the black ones. Fabulous! We always love meeting up with you guys. Your theme is really cool; like, the songs really come together when you add that in.
Hinton: I had you guys in finals, but obviously I'm not a judge. I liked your theme, and the vocals were better than I was expecting.
O'Gorman Knightlights: Congrats on making finals! I know that, as a prep group, that's always exciting. I'll admit, I spent most of the day trying to figure out if you were a mixed or Single-Gender group. And I was still trying to figure it out for most of your show. But then the boys came in at the end. After seeing some explanations on here, it makes more sense.
Roosevelt Executive Chamber: Thanks for being such great hosts! The quartet setup was interesting, and I wasn't sure if I would like it, but I did. It made the blend that much better. Loved "Elanor Rigby"
Roosevelt Executive Suite: Thanks for being such great hosts! Your show gave me emotional whiplash. It starts out with the Bandstand thing, and then drops the heaviest ballad of the night. And then goes back into a song about slinkys. Holy crap. I had so many feelings. But a great show nonetheless!
Thank you to all the volunteers who made yesterday a success!

Quick clarifying question, is O'Gorman "KnightLights" a mixed or women's choir? According to this competition it would seem to be a mixed prep choir since they competed in the prep instead of women's division, but historically "KnightLights" has been a women's choir and that's what their website says. Just confused me a bit.

They are now a prep group. The men come on for the closer. It's to make it an easier transition for next year.

In the past, they have been a women's group. Which is why, in my predictions, I called them a women's group. But from what I heard tonight, apparently this year they have guys come in for part of their show, thus (I would assume) making them a mixed prep group.
Thanks, Ethan. That sounds… complicated. I guess I'll change "KnightLights" to intermediate mixed (prep) to avoid future confusion then.

What a fun competition today. Roosevelt did great hosting their very first competition.

Excited to see how it grows in the years to come!

Congrats to all of the groups!

That's what I guessed.
