Thanks, Ethan, for providing the daytime and final results. It's all been posted above aside from the prep division. Which Heelan prep group won? There were two in that division.

I completely enjoyed this competition last year! The Hinton parents did a great job putting together an organized and fun event. Will miss not being there this year! Good luck to all the attending teams!
We aren't coming back because-- plain and simple-- we didn't decide to come back... Haha. Not solely because of space or anything lofonza or oreomegosha listed. If we would have gone back to Hinton, we would've had 7 competitions total, which is a lot for any group.
I've heard of Tone Def singing, but Tone Death?! Singing so terrible...it could kill you!
Hehehe not my intention but it sure does feel like that sometimes (All the times) when we sing. We have great potential, but even greater insistence on not using it
I really wish that were the case but it's more of a space issue. Last year we were kind of cramped and since this year our numbers have increased to approximately... too many, we just don't think it's a good idea.
*Disclaimer*
Big group = Big sound
Big sound = Happy judges
Big group + tone death kids = Big gross sound
Big gross sound = Not happy judges
Not happy judges = Last place

Oreomegosha is seemingly terrible at phrasing things. They're making it sound like Washington is "too good" for the space, but in reality, the reason that SF Washington is not returning (I would guess) is because of logistics.
Hinton High School is a small 2A school (near or under 200 students in 9-12). Their school, and gym, are about the size you would expect for a school with this many students. This is nothing like the Wheaton's or the Urbandale's or other 4A+ schools who host competitions. Also, their set up is very unique. The stage is built into their gym permanently, as many smaller schools have. Because of this, it is very, very restricted space-wise. If a group has an excessive amount of band members or props, it can be difficult to make it work. Though it is not impossible, it can be frustrating.
Also, where Sioux Fall's vocals are concerned, it really isn't that they were "too loud" because, honestly, a group can't really sing too loud assuming they have good technique. But, as I mentioned above, Hinton's gymnasium is very unique. This is because it has a rounded roof made out of a slick wood material. There is actually an "urban legend" around here that says if you sit on one side of the gymnasium at the top near where the ceiling begins to round and you have someone sitting on the exact same spot on the opposite side, you can have a conversation because the sound carries on it so well. This is probably what they are referring to; though this wouldn't really impact the judges as they sit perpendicular from the stage and the rounded ceiling, it could (maybe) bother the fans in the top rows of the bleachers.
So basically "Our vocals are too good to come back here." Like what???

Sioux Falls Washington (my group) will not be returning because our group is to big for the performance area. With all the props and set, there is not enough room. That and we sang to loud for the venue last year even though we won.

Schedule has been posted above. I assume Bishop Heelan "Magnifique" is within the Prep division. That's the bolded division they are listed under, but at the same time they are noted in parenthesis and have a later performance time. If they need moved to their own division, just let us know. Otherwise it's good to go!
