Loved this competition. Fort Atkinson really stepped up their game this year-- They've got a great show. Mundelein Lights was one of my favorites from the day. The Cinderella theme was a huge crowd pleaser. Overall a great competition with lots of diversity in show design. Really interesting to see how the judges played everything out.
From the way the program was written, I assumed they competed in the open division, but I do not have any inside information on that.
Also the Rolling Meadows single gender group was not there today either.

There were only two groups entered in Class A-- Davenport Central and Linn-Mar. I can't remember which group won, unfortunately.

As a side note, I remember when Silver Dimension, Sauk Prairie YTBN, and Brodhead were all co-ed prep groups, and Brodhead was called "Boys and Girls" instead of BHS Express. I have known for a while that there has been a decrease in the number of boys trying out for show choir at MG but thought that had to do with some factors localized to MG (middle school director(s) who were really good at reaching boys left for other jobs). I was surprised to see Sauk Prairie and Brodhead sharing the same fate.
I swear you can not base anything off of previous competitions this year!! Last week Mundelein beats mayville by 4 or 5 places then mayville beats them here! Crazy! Congrats Linn Mar! Loved your show at Viterbo!!
Mayville definitely had a better performance today, though. I haven't seen any other competitions this year so don't know if Mayville got better or Mundelein had an off day today.
Also I was surprised that Fort Atkinson didn't place higher. I would have possibly flipped Fort and Sauk and left everyone else in the same position.

To me this one is really Davenport Central's to lose, though Linn-Mar could take best band.
After seeing Linn-Mar tonight, I'm going to adjust my predictions a little. I still think Davenport Central will win and get Best Choreography, but I believe Linn-Mar will take Best Band and Best Vocals. It should be very close in my opinion.
