So this really doesn't have to do with the competition, but Sioux Falls Washington is my favorite show of 2009, and actually, my favorite show since probably my freshman year. I love their song choices, and the novelty number is just downright hilarious. The soloists are great and just everything is so amazing about their show. I traveled to Westwood (Sloan) to just watch the competition with my friend, and SFW was both of our favorites. We just couldn't stop cheering for them. We even nabbed a front row seat for FINALS and cheered louder than the Washington fans haha

Headliners was GC and won pretty much all the awards.
Aberdeen (really fun show) was 1RU.
New Sound (East Prep) was 2RU
Groton was 3RU
Vermillion 4RU
Aberdeen Special Request (Prep) was 5RU

The only close call was Aberdeen Special Request beat Impulse (East's Single-Gender choir) for the last spot in finals, which were cancelled.

Headliners was magnificent.
Aberdeen was fun.
New Sound - very clean and improving show.
Groton was very good for a small school choir.
Rhythym in Red -
Didn't see Special Request.

That really sucks. Congrats to Sioux City East! It must be really bitter sweet.

The weather radar looks crazy out that way.

This competition is today. I just realized that I dont have anyone's number that is competiting here today. So unless someone else can get results, we're going to have to wait till someone gets home and hear results.

My Predictions:

GC: Sioux City East
1RU: Marshall
2RU: Aberdeen
3RU: Vermillion
4RU: Sioux City East Prep
5RU: Groton

I'll be getting these results.

Thank you very much.
Although I told our kids that some judges may not appreciate our show for being "different," as long as they enjoy performing it, that's what really matters. It's good to hear comments like these. I will share this with them. Thanks again for the kind words.

Just to clarify, I think the Headliner show is the SINGLE BEST show I have EVER seen, and I've watched a lot of show choir.

What I'm wondering is who East will lose to by one point at this competition?

I too will agree with Taylor and Spencer-

It was an honor to work with "The Headliners" early on in January... I've been waiting for you guys to take a GC, and this will be the one! Your show is probably the most talked about and remembered show of 2009! It is so creative and fun, and you all perform the living daylights out of it. Congrats on an amazing season and show!

Predictions-

Sioux City East SWEEP!
