Sadly, the only competing choirs I got to see all day were during finals: Dowling and Pella. That is what happens when you're running around trying to get two groups for finals ready! 4 performances in one day can take a lot out of ya!

lol, sounds hectic

What'd you think of our choir if you saw them at all. I'm always interested to hear opinions. lol

What did you think?

I liked it, esp. the really energetic opener. I want an opener like that for our choir haha

GC: Dowling (BV, BB)
1RU: Muscatine (BC)
2RU: Roosevelt
3RU: Pella
4RU: Emmetsburg
5RU: Muscatine Prep
6RU: Marshaltown

Pella wasn't announced for finals originally, even though they were 3rd in the day round. So then they added them in, and had 7 finalists.

Thanks for posting the information I sent you.

The day was a really fun one. Congrats to Dowling Catholic! You guys are such a fun group of kids and its obvious our two show choirs get along quite well. It certainly was quite apparent to me when one our boys wrote your show choir name across his chest in support... or the fact that the kids tore down posters from their homerooms with their show choir name out it, turned them over, and wrote "We <3 Dimensions!" and held them up during your finals show. Its fun when two top choirs can come out of a competition with such good camaraderie and a lot of respect for each other.

Anamosa is not attending. They will be at Western Dubuque.

Well that mixes things up! Let's try this:

GC: Muscatine
1RU: West Des Moines Dowling
2RU: Des Moines Roosevelt
3RU: Des Moines Lincoln
4RU: Pella
5RU: Emmetsburg

Semi-blind predictions:

GC: Muscatine
1RU: West Des Moines Dowling
2RU: Des Moines Roosevelt
3RU: Anamosa
4RU: Des Moines Lincoln
5RU: Pella

Admittedly, I know very little about the smaller Western Iowa schools. However I think Muscatine and Dowling will be a good amount ahead of the rest of the competition. I can see the GC going to either RCR or Dimensions
