I'm sorry for phrasing my statement poorly. I did believe everyone had a great competition and no Cohagen I am not a hindrance to SW's reputation at all (Some have handled that one fine on their own). I will always be supportive of everyone and love my group the most and I really don't mean to be evil if I sound that way, that is not my personality at all!

Heard Dowling performed very well -- and congrats to Quinn Tipping on another Best Male Soloist award! Congrats to Dimensions and Jody White on another great season. Look how far you've come -- you're playing against the big boys now!

They certainly should be proud of their season! I can see Valley-Dowling becoming a show choir rivalry as well

That's kind of sad.

Yes. We weren't too sure what to say. I guess if you were to just look at the lyrics by themselves, it would be an incredibly pretentious song. I guess that's why it's important to take the performance into account. For god's sake, I'm crawling on the floor...

ANYWAYS!

Thanks to Lewis central for a greeeat competition. I have to say, our hosts were my favorite of any competition I've ever been to. I think they actually /cared/ about how we did, which was great. They were just so nice and genuine, and always knew the answers to any questions. When they found out about my insane peanut allergy, they offered to go make me a jelly sandwich so I wouldn't die. thanks guys. <:

A bunch of Lincoln East parents were up at arms 'cause they thought we were totally serious.

That's kind of sad.

Whats so great about nebraska...the heart of the USA?

That's a parody song, by the way. I'm never sure that comes across...

I'm never too sure how I could possibly ham it up anymore than I already do.

Okay, okay, it was a bit of an exaguration. I'll admit.

I simply can't help but exhibit an infatuation.

By the way, you had better vocal and choreo scores.

Honestly, I think everybody got what they deserved. Res gave the best performance we possibly could, and we were all very happy with it, regardless of what the judges said. I think that's really what's important, anyway. We were all personally satisfied.

I feel compelled to say that (having seen them 5 times this season) ATSC did not give a very good performance (to their standards). That said, they were still better than everyone else at that competition. <: I think that says a lot about how fantastic they are. (Valley too- you guys were great, as usual!)

Congrats on the 8th straight win, Westside! It was well deserved.

(BTW- congrats to Papio South at making finals! I was so happy for ya'll!)

Just pointing out that Choralation was 7 points behind Westside during the day with a better vocal score I know it doesn't matter, but I'm just explaining that westside didn't DOMINATE- although they did deserve the win!! (I'm really only just saying- tones of respect to ATSC I am in love with your show)

It's not what you said about the competition so much, but how you said it. The way your phrased it made it sound like the judges had committed a crime. Just be careful with how you phrase things on here next time.

I'd just like to point out that the views of people who currently or formally attend school do not necessarily reflect the opinion of our school. That is all.

(no worries- I still love you, nick.)

I'm not quite sure how SW got 3rd and not 2nd and didn't get best band, but oh well. Good competition, good job to everyone.

I didn't think there was a scandal and I know the judges are plenty qualified, I just felt differently. I am also bias towards my old group and that was just my opinion on watching finals. I am nowhere near as qualified as most and at the end of it, I am just someone commenting on a blog. Once again good job to everyone, it was a good comp. I just wish they still had the walking tacos when I got there, I always look forward to those, but so does everyone else

It is hard not to have a bias! My mom called me saying that she thought Choralation was by far in first. I told her that if they won it would be by an extremely small margin considering how amazing ATSC and Resonance are

It's much easier to enjoy a show when you enjoy the people in the show already- I am guilty as charged

I know that ATSC was a unanimous choice for 1st but I don't know anything past that. I do know that in daytime that Valley had slightly higher vocal and choreography scores but ATSC had about a 12 point lead in the "other" category (band, show programming, etc.). The judges were all extremely qualified as Jeff said. I think I was judged by all of them when I was in high school. I don't think there is any possibility of a scandal with this group.

Neither do I- whatever they decide I am ok with. Whether that was Choralation in 1st or 3rd or even last, that's just show choir! I've had wonderful moments in show choir and not so great moments, I only ever won one grand championship and went to a handful of competitions my freshman and sophomore year where we didn't make finals! It's always going to be close, there will always be disagreements, but all in all- ATSC won, Valley got second, and LSW got third.

I am pretty sure that the judges got together and voted. From those votes came the final rankings and the captions. It so happened that Southwest was in 3rd and did not get best band. I don't know what else there is to know about how that worked. I hope that helped with any possible confusion there was.

It was quite close between all choirs. The panel of judges gave their opinion.

Seeing the rankings would help clarify, but the judges were plenty qualified and I am sure they gave the most accurate depiction of how things were that they could.
