Ewwww ... I just found out that our Junior High show choir will be preforming at Mentor. If they're bad -- then sorry guys, they don't have the same director as us, or choreographer. lol.

Yeah, I know what you mean -- seeing Euclid has a very new and young group this year (partly because we just started competing last year). But I'd say, bring on the big groups, and let all the newbies watch them, and freak out, the more freaked out they are, the better they will preform.

Heck, we'll be thrilled just making nights. We didn't do it last year at all. We were always 1 or 2 points behind and in 7th place

Now we're excited because we have a decent show choir on our hands.

I actually kind of like not having all the "big name groups" if you will at Mentor. It gives us Runners-up a chance to shine amongst ourselves. Plus, I don't know about you all, but this is our first Comp this year. It's give a chance for the newbies in the group a chance to experience competing without freaking out after watching T-burg or Teays or someone like that. Like I did last year... lol.

Wow I'm so excited about Mentor, Euclid had a huge rehersal today, and man -- we accomplished a lot. We taped ourselves and watched -- and we looked so much better then I thought we did. Mentor's going to be awesome. Good luck everyone! I can't wait! Weee!

if only u guys could see how pissed we were until today. i almost cried watching the tape. and who ever reads this, don't think i or both of us is arrogant or anything, we were ready to quit, at least i was, and today was the day that made me know that we have a finals winning show choir, and we haven't since last school year, so that's y im happy at least, i don't know about yuri. i also want to wish all the groups at MFAI the best of luck, and hope they all do GREAT!!!!!

c some of yall soon

One day someone will devise a whole show devoted to Michael Jackson... and I will kill that person

Jackson five is cool, though

God, one week! I can't wait! We have 6-9's all week, but hopefully I won't be tired.

See you all there And good luck!

I'll never tell. Our director doesn't let us post on here. He (or she) thinks it's just a bunch of smack talk and a "show security hazzard". Too much info leaking out. I could actually be "benched" if I revealed my "true identity". Stupid, I know.

I don't think it would ever really happen, but why take the chance on missing out on my last year next year?

I will say that I'm from Ohio and that I'm going to some of the same comps you guys are.

Wow VC4...you're talkin' some serious smack in your little signature there.  You sound pretty confident.  I heard your show was the Jackson Five or something.  What are your songs?  It will be interesting to see how things come out next Saturday.

G grandchamp, you sound intimidated. blushing.gif

where r u from, and when will i see u/sc?!?

Ehh, yeah B -- about that signature. lol. We're definitely not as confident as his signature states. We have a lot of work still needed to be done -- and the good thing is, we have a lot of long rehersals throughout this week, until Mentor. If we practice and get through everything we need to -- we'll be fierce competition. If we slack off, and are unfocused -- look forward to beating us.

Our show theme this year is the Jackson family.
Opener: Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough and Workin' Day and Night by Micheal Jackson.
Ballad: Livin' In a World (They Didn't Make) by Janet Jackson, from Rhythm Nation.
Girl's Number: Alright and Pleasure Principle by Janet Jackson.
Guy's Number: I Want You Back, ABC, and Stop! The Love You Say May be Your Own by the Jackson 5.
Closer: You Said, You Said by Jermaine Jackson.

Yeah, that's our show. I can't wait to see all the rest of the shows we're competing against. Good luck to everyone at Mentor. It's gonna be a blast.

lol, i really want homewood to come to our comp. then Maybe my teacher will be more open to traveling to alabama to go to theirs...

The only Alabama competition my group's ever attended was Homewood's "South Central Classic" at which we are regulars, but it's rockin'! I love Homewood's campus..it's so cool.

All the groups there are always so nice to us, even though half my frickin' group is too stuck up to return the favor..

This year, we're also competing at Opelika's "Southern Showcase"...my only complaint so far is that there are no finals, but neither did the competition that we're replacing with "Southern Showcase", so. lol From what I know so far, it should be pretty cool there too!

sorry, I must confused Enterprise with another Alabama group. I can't say for sure that we've beaten Enterprise overall now...but I know we've beaten them in at least vocals.

but you can't judge a group purely off of one comp...last  year was definately a rebuilding year, and I think we accomplished a lot, but to go as far as to say that we've never beat Homewood, Enterprise, or Opelika...or to say that we'll never win a competition in Alabama or Mississippi, that's saying alot. As of right now, we've never won a comp in Alabama or Mississippi, but we have beaten Homewood and Enterprise. if you haven't checked the Belmont results from last year, I'd strongly suggest you do so. Now I'm not saying this because I think we're better than other groups, because yes, overall Homewood, Enterprise, and Opelika are better than us, but they are beatable...and I think we proved it last year. I'd look out for Albertville this year, you might not reconize us.

I don't know you to well Trey, but for the most part of what I've read that you've posted, I think you're an alright guy and we agree on alot of subjects...but it's not neccesary to say such bold comment like "but they could NOT win a comp in Alabama or Mississippi." Right now, I can't say if we've beaten Opelika or not...the main reason I can't is because I can't remember what comps we saw each other at...but I can say that we most definatley did beat Enterprise and Homewood.

ummmm, when did Albertville beat Enteprise? The do believe that Enterprise did not attend Belmont last year so I strongly suggest that you check last year's results again.
