I don't know where the whole "Homestead made finals" thing has come from. It is my understanding that Norwell was 5thRU. I heard nothing at the competition about Homestead being in finals......buuuuut I'm just a drummer, so...I could be wrong.

That is a strange way to go about that, in my opinion.
If a group leaves, that should allow another group to go in their spot, but... again, just my line of thinking.

Ive heard that Norwell was the sixth spot in finals and still took home the trophy even though they had to leave early...is this true?

I'm from Norwell, me and two other girls stayed for our awards while the rest went home. We did make finals but sense we were told had to come home we had to leave so we could not perform at finals because everyone was gone. But we were given the 5th runnerup trophy sense we made finals and couldnt perform!

Norwell made the finals but had to forfit because we left early. Therefore Norwell took the 6th spot by default.

GC: Burbank
1RU: Fairfield
2RU: Huntington North
3RU: Dekalb
4RU: Onalaska
5RU: Homestead
Vocals, Choreography- Burbank
Band- Fairfield

These results ARE correct. Homestead was announced as 5RU because they were in 6th after the day. This is a very confusing competition, but hopefully someone will explain it all to us!

Okay, now I am confused. How does Norwell fit in to all of this? Homestead didn't perfrom, Norwell didn't perform, but both were supposed to be in finals? Homested got 5th RU so Norwell??? Who knows!

I am sorry I missed this one.

Hey Burbank Congratulations! Guess the trip to Indiana was worth it for you! You must think that this is a crazy place!

I absolutely loved this competition...but hated the slushy-snow-rain-sleet-from-hell-mix waiting for me in the parking lot...

Wow! The Burbank kids are going to have quite a story to tell when they get home!

I imagine Franklin Central is going to be temporarily renamed "Party Central" for the night. haha

.......

Coolest awards ceremony, eh?
Did Mr. Griffel rise up on the movable stage holding a briefcase up in the air? He did that 2 years ago.

I'm on the phone with the Onalaska Hilltoppers:
They're so happy, and they were thrilled with all the wonderful performances. They say that their hosts were wonderful and so cute and adorable and the food was good and they're so happy and it was the best day ever and they're enoying the weather. And they said that it was the coolest award ceremony everrrrrrr.

I'm supposed to say: Alli Geyer loves show choir.

Okay, the whole situation:

After we got done performing, our director told us to pack everything up and load the busses because our superintenant said we had to leave and get home before the ice storm hit. Norwell had to do the same thing.

Northrop was originally planning on staying the night at a hotel anyways, so they are at a hotel.
Dekalb is supposidly staying in the Auxilary gym at the school, and Huntington North is supposidly staying somewhere else in the school.

After Homestead and Norwell left, Franklin Central had a lock-down so no more of the schools could leave.

So thats that

All i know is Homestead got 9th out of 10.

Thats too bad that they couldn't perform...I hate the weather...They shouldve just stayed the night at FC...I remember groups one year at Center Groves comp. in 2003 ended up staying there due too the weather...FC is def. big enough.....But thats too bad...Can't wait for the results...

Northrop did not place in the top 6....and did not have to leave because they are staying in hotels tonight ...and no they are not going to replace anyone for the 6th spot! Only 5 schools went to finals!
