I hate you. Our group of spectators is leaving Cedar Rapids at 4:30 am so we can make it for Celebration...
Linn-Mar is also leaving a bit after that. We are leaving at 6:30 to catch In Step. Sadly we will not be able to watch Hi-Style though
This is for sure going to be a close one! I think every group has someone else to worry about, but I'm excited to see Monona Grove's show again, it was a pleasure to watch at Onalaska

I won't be able to stay for finals, which is a bummer, but still excited to be there during the day! Looking forward to seeing my alma mater, hoping they can sneak into a finals spot!
Prep groups are ineligible for finals, but the prep Grand Champion will perform first in finals as an exhibition.
I agree, both groups are very good, In-Step dances better, but Celebration sings better. Like you said, even if prep groups could make finals, the quality of groups at this competition is probably too high.
Who's going to be prep grand champ? Wash "Celebration" or LM "In Step"?!
Can prep groups make it to finals at the Fort Showcase?
I am pretty sure prep groups are able to make finals, but with seeing the caliber of many of the groups at this competition, chances are slim of a prep group making finals. I am so excited to watch the prep competition though good luck to everyone! so excited!!!!! going to be one of the better ones of the year!
Wow this will be a great competition. anyone have more predictions?? i think finals will be tough to make, but i have a feeling mitchell friend de coup will get it.
This competition is going to be really interesting. I know it's been many years since Mitchell performed in Wisconsin, so I'm kind of out of the loop as far as WI and IL choirs are concerned. And IA has so many darn choirs you just never know... that being said It looks like there are 7-9 groups that have performed well earlier this season and in the last few years, this will certainly be a shake down from top to bottom. Do you know how Mitchell is this year? It looks like this will be their first competition this year. I'm sure no matter what they'll be great as always.

I REALLY want to agree with these, but then I remember how good Hersey was last year (remember we both had them in 1st after day) and North was also VERY surprising last year, and they are better this year. And Iowa groups score WELL here at Fort because of the emphasis on vocals. So I just give up. I cannot make predictions on this except I think Mitchell and Linn-Mar will be top 2 and will split vocals and choreo.

Fort is always a great competition! Having competed there in 04,05,06... I have fond memories. Thanks for reminding me Jay! haha
