If anything, I think SC East's director change will be a disadvantage. They're coming off of a good year and transitions can be tough.
Also,
Thoughts on the competition: plz no torture of making us wait for results through many jazz choirs

I loved attending this competition last year and it's a shame we aren't again this year, especially with such a great lineup of groups! This looks like a great competition for the Des Moines area schools this year, and then with an IC West and Sioux City East thrown in there, it's sure to be a great day!

I agree! 2 years ago they were really good. Last year, they didn't have as great of results. I think they have a chance to beat out Sioux City East. Their time slot doesn't help them though.
With that the addition of their new director Brandon Frasuer, Sioux City East should be even better than last year when they beat powerhouse Mitchell

When is the first finals performance at?
I would guess sometime around 7:10 PM. The 2015 performance schedule looks nearly identical to the 2014 schedule in terms of performance times and that's when the first finalist started last year.

Yankee96, Waukee is not competing at their own show. It is just a an exhibition for them.

(proceeds to slap himself in the face) my bad.....I just read Waukee at the bottom of the list and automatically assumed they were competing and well.....yeah sorry
