And for finals it is the reverse order with Waukee going first and Ankeny performing last and also Ankeny got best band and best male soloist and female soloist.

Congrats to Johnston Innovation. This makes 20 finals appearances in the past 21 years at Urbandale, and 18 years in a row for that matter!
From the looks of things - it appears it will soon be Ankeny's 3rd GC this year... guess we'll find out later tonight!
wow congrats to Ankeny they totally deserve that!!! and CR Kennedy too that's awesome!! Johnston really bumped it up too. Kennedy is the only group I didnt get a chance to see I really wish i would have now!! Good luck to all of these groups in finals!!

So we just arrived at this competition and all I was able to see so far was Ankeny prep and they were amazing and I'm sure varsity will be just as amazing too! I am so excited to perform! The hosts are amazing also!
Hmmmm I've seen about half of these groups so I think this will be really interesting! Let's see how my predictions hold (i'll update them after each round if there's wireless)....
Best Vocals: Ankeny
Best Choreography: Ankeny
Best Band: Totino-Grace
I've seen Ankeny, Totino-Grace, Papillion-LaVista, and Grand Island Senior High. Ankeny and Totino will be good enough for finals, but based on what I know of the other groups I don't think Papio or GISH will make finals. Papillion doesn't have the energy, and GISH doesn't have any kind of vocals, but their choreography is hot! Totino for Best Band. Ankeny will blow your mind in finals....

Sounds good to me. I am hoping to leave in approximately 7 and a half hours and I still have to pack and print directions. Oh well, thanks to Mr. Woodin, at least I don't have to mapquest them.

Curious rankings since Linn-Mar has won a competition and Waukee beat Kennedy pretty soundly at Johnston. Here's my stab:
