Since it is a YouTube video, I would assume so. Do it fast though because I have stumbled across at least three that got copyright struck for music played in between groups
I could honestly see this going any number of ways. Huntington North may very well take home GC, but since neither one of these groups (Huntington North or Carroll) have competed yet this season I’m using other predictions and last seasons stats to base this off of. I am super excited to see Carroll’s show though, I absolutely love their shows since they tend to have a really solid theme and I always loved watching them once upon a time.
Carroll should be able to sweep this division in the end, but I’m sure Northridge will put up an excellent fight. EDIT: Now that Pendleton Heights is in this division, it’s probably going to be Northridge and Pendleton in a race for 2nd. This just got even closer than it already was!!
MIXED TIER 2
GC: Jay County Patriot Edition
1RU: Pendleton Heights Pendletones
2RU: Bishop Leurs Minstrels
I could honestly be totally wrong with this. I based my predictions both off this pasts weeks competition at DeKalb and also the compare feature. I kept switching groups in places and I am not even going to begin trying to tackle caption awards. A lot of these groups haven’t competed yet this season and quite a few haven’t yet competed against one another, so it should make for a super exciting competition! EDIT: This was already super close, but now with the addition of Pendleton it just got harder. I really think Jay County and Pendleton Heights are gonna be neck and neck for GC.
SINGLE GENDER TIER 2
GC: Huntington North Viking Volume
1RU: Columbia City City Lights
2RU: Fairfield Expressions
Jay County may sneak up and boot one of these groups out of a top three spot after their performance last weekend at DeKalb. But again, so many strong groups in this division. It’s going to be a good show no matter what.
OVERALL THOUGHTS: There’s so much talent at this competition, and I could very well be totally wrong by the time awards roll around on Saturday night but these are my best guesses based off what I’ve seen so far this season, what I’ve seen in previous years, and that wonderful “compare” tool. I’m soooo happy they’re providing a livestream and I will definitely be tuned in! Best of luck to everyone competing
EDIT: Had to change my Mixed Tier 2 prediction since unfortunately Norwell had to drop out of the competition and now Pendleton Heights has joined the lineup!
Also, before it’s asked... yes we are planning on having a livestream for the full event!! (Thank you Homestead Media team) We are so excited to host even through Covid.
here's the schedule for this year's 2021 classic showcase!!
all performances will be in the arena this year and for COVID reasons there will be no finals!! for schools bringing both mixed and Single-Gender groups, the performances will be back to back in the allotted time slot given to each school
