Does anyone know how we can locate a police report to substantiate Antwon's claims of embezzlement? As someone else posted, the issues experienced by many of the choirs screams lawsuit. We did NOT receive what we paid for ... that is the bottom line.

As difficult as you may find this to accept, not everyone was quite as enthused with their New York experience as you seem to be, and lowering the ridiculous cost of these DVDs would have been a good start to some sort of goodwill offering or apology. I don't care what happened that was "out of their control", they did as little as possible to rectify the situation until everyone had already arrived in New York, and even then simply covered their butts to the bare minimum that wouldn't incite riots. I don't know whether the DVD cost either went up or down as a result of the fiasco, but I can tell you that SCN's most expensive single division DVDs are $50 and FAME's are $40. The only way the math works out in their favor is if the entire competition is on the DVD, and to be honest, I'm not sure that parents are thrilled about paying that much for their kid's performance either, especially after the admission prices...

I didn't mean to upset you with my comment and I hope I didn't. All I was saying was that it seems illogical that after loosing money they would lower prices. If a small gas station is going out of business and no longer has the money to pay their suppliers or make a profit, would they lower gas prices? No. It's economically impossible.

why would prices be cut if the administration LOST money?

This is so aggravating. Beyond belief. We were all so excited to go... and hour after hour, we had been told that this or that changed; the excitement went so downhill.

Nancy Slife did not judge either. Also, Dustin Ramirez and his wife (who's name escapes me right now), also judged.

The only major thing they did not receive as paid for was the dinner reservations, shuttles, etc just like all the other groups.
I believe there were groups that did not get tickets to the show they were promised, and two schools were left without hotel rooms initially. I don't know who paid for what, but not everyone was in the advertised Marriott Marquis, I know that.

Just like any newspaper, they just can't seem to get their facts straight. Poca recieved their rooms, broadway tickets, etc. The only major thing they did not receive as paid for was the dinner reservations, shuttles, etc just like all the other groups.

How do we know that Chavis isn't still in on this? I hate to think negative toward someone but everything seems so shady.

I hope they do a full-on investigation on this because these kids deserve so much more than what they were given. Walking 14 blocks to perform? What if some of the kids got jumped or lost? Whose the person responsible for the actions? I would hope it would be on the "shuttle".
