This was actually a really underrated middle school division. Both Fairfield Rhythm Express and Martinsburg South Spirit have routinely competed against and placed higher than high school mixed show choirs. Fairfield hasn't lost in the middle school division since 2012. We don't have a ton of records on Martinsburg South, but they hadn't lost in the middle school division either and have always won vocals in the MS division. Looks like this was a close one between what are surely some of the very best middle school show choirs in the nation.

5RU: Piqua ( after seeing Hamilton’s show last week at franklin community I was really impressed but this comp is going to be tough)
I'm really interested to see how Whiteland does here. They've come in strong the past couple years and now added Mr. Brandt as a co-director coming from Waukee, IA. I enjoyed the Waukee "Millennium" show last year, so I imagine that's only a benefit for the students.
