He's right. It's not too hard to do. We made it up two practices before we had to go to Nashville, where they leave the curtain open. It's incredibly easy, and most directors know about the curtain in advanced, so that's taken care of.

It just unnerves me a bit.

Its called Make one. click click click walk... 8. turn around. 5678 start. Before the choir comes onstage no one really cares. Just dont look like u have no idea what your doing. Must have a good stage crew.

Aaaaaaand some of us don't have uniformed walk-ons... It takes away the effect of hiding what's going on onstage, as well as allowing everyone to see the band set up, the props/costume changes loaded to their respective sides, the set pieces placed, the choir getting into position.... it could be exciting to see the backstage set up go on, especially if the choir does a show of it (making it look fun, professionally and efficiently completing every task). Or it could be a total drag for the groups that take too long or don't have "uniformed walk-ons."

Its now in an auditorium so I dont quite think so, and it's done like this at many midwest competitions people. Thats why you usually have a uniformed walk on.

That would take away the effect!

Lovely... I always feel a bit unnerved when I have to perform, or when I have to set for the girl's group, and the curtain is open...

I heard a rumor that the stage curtains will stay OPEN as each group sets up... is this true?!?

I can no longer personally gaurantee anything. Not sure about the lighting and sound system anymore and the comp has been moved from the gym to the auditorium.
All previous post are to be ignored. I am no longer participating. Please direct all questions to Clover Hill High School. Thank You.

See you all next year and have a great rest of the year!
Congrats to senoirs and GOOD LUCK in all your future endeavors.

Dont forget the music!
