Actually Findlay has been doing the same "style" of show for years . They were very innovative (I'm sure) in the 90s. J.D. Smith was an amazing director (one of the best IMO). Findlay does it better than their immitators (which we just wont get into ). I too am pulling for the tapping brigade from Findlay.

I think that Findlay is going to kick butt this weekend! They have a tight show and perform what a show choir really should be like. I wish them the best of luck and I am pulling for you all the way. What has happend to show choir? I feel like its getting to skimpy with outfits and unison singing, etc. Thanks to Findlay for really showing us what a show choir should be like.

1) It takes just as much focus, effort, and ability to produce a quality Unison sound as it does to produce a great Blended Choral sound.
2) show choir hasn't been about endless tapdancing in golden costumes for about 10 years...
3) The Choirs that most people love are the choirs that START the trends... Not regurgitate them.
4) Singing one giant chord after an entire song worth of incomprehensible singing does not constitute Vocal
Ability.
5) Findlay is doing great this year... With the show they have they are doing awesome... But i cannot ever just sit here and watch anyone talk about them as if they are the prime example of what "show choir Really Should be". Even for their style, there are far better groups to use as examples... Huntington North being one...but whatever. In my opinion, and after seeing peoples reaction last year... I'd say that North Central last year Set the example of what show choir should be like.
6) Like many ohio choirs, Findlay will do well because their show plays to the scoresheet. But when it comes down to entertainment (which i believe is a lot more important that what 6 ppl in a box think) People next week will remember Piqua's show... Franklin Central's Show...of course Clinton's Show... the innovators, the choirs who have created their style and Do it better than any of their imitators.

I mean no disrespect to your opinions honestly, i just have to give credit where credit is do, i found it unfair to say that Findlay is the way every choir should be... Because in all honesty. If every choir did what findlay did... No one would watch after the first year... Diversity is the reason we watch show choir. Well, atleast thats why i still watch show choir.

Many people are thinking that the 6th place finalist is still open..as for clinton, marysville, findlay, eishenhower, and hurricane they you can say are basic shoe ins..

As for the 6th finalists who do u think it will be..FC, Piqua, Beavercreek, Zionsville, or other....I dont mean this in a hard why but I actually want to know what people are thinking, pick the group on how they have done in this year or the last year, not just becasue they are your favorite, I'm just curious

Zionsville girls won two grand champions last year one at hunington and east noble where they beat FC and Norwell and hunington last year...The girls have also got one GC this year and that was our first competetion

well thats not a very enlightening statement considering Last year was the first year EVER for FC's High voltage... This year they are much improved and working hard... Having seen all three of these girls' groups this year i'm going to bet it will be

GC: Norwell - Vocals
1RU: Franklin Central - Choreo
2RU: Zionsville - band

Should be pretty close though i think.. FC could take out Norwell and Zionsville could creep up into second... but i firmly think it will be FC and Norwell for 1 and 2

How does the weather look for this competition? I know that IA is to get some snow on Friday/Saturday.

Right now it looks like high of 38, low of 22 and the possibility of sprinkles on Saturday. Friday is roughly the same except it says showers/clear.

i see that tri-state offers DVD recordings done in dolby digital 5.1 -- please tell me fairfield shelled out whatever $ it cost to make that happen...

now if only the video company offered an option for blu-ray... " border="0" alt="online2long.gif" />

If I had to make a prediction on this one. I would say...

GC: Clinton
1RU: Eisenhower
2RU: Maysville
3RU: Hurricane
4RU: Findlay
5RU: Franklin Central

This one is tough. I think that technically Marysville has a more rich, shall I say, mature sound than Eisenhower. But, If Eisenhower matures their sound they can overtake Marysville. It will take effort though. I have not seen Hurricane so I have only made their placement from prescident. Nor have I seen Clinton. I always have said that someone will have it in them to beat Attache, but they are truly amazing, and it will take an amazing effort by any group to do it.
