So upset that i can't attend this comp... it is going to truely be and amazing day of singing and dancing! Good Luck to all the groups competeing... Piqua... do what you know how to do.. and have fun.. this is it!!! I wish i was there to help out and motivate... but i will be traveling south on a charter bus with the Bg mens chorus. Just remember the things i have been saying all year... and leave it all on the stage!!!!
well i have seen dunbars show and not to be mean but i dont think that they will be 2sn runner up
Gee Adam....you saw them when they first started performing their show. I wouldn't think that is what you'd consider a fair evaluation. Why don't you give them a little more credit than that? You used to be a Dunbar Singer...you know how the show cleans up a little more as the year progresses. Dunbar consists of all 6th, 7th and 8th graders...it takes some time to get things in sync...the 6th graders are new and need a little more time to get in the swing of things... ;)
Regardless of how anyone places, I hope everyone has a good time and gives it their all.I'm REALLY tired from traveling every other weekend with both of my daughters (one in Dunbar Singers and one in Nitro Showcats) but I'm really excited to see the groups at Fairfield.
If I've got to go out of town again this weekend, I wouldn't want it to be any place but Fairfield...

yep! I'm leaving straight from school to get to Fairfield, OH. (4 hours away)
wow... well if ya see me there say hey! That goes for everyone... of course... i'm not going to actually put a picture up because i'm sure i'd end up getting a drink thrown on me or something... knowing how i push ppls buttons on here
One mistake for those 4 choirs can cost them everything. They have to be on beat the whole show. They have to have every move crisp. Vocals have to be amazing. I honestly think either Piqua or Beavercreek are going to pull it off because they seem to be more powerful vocals groups. But in the end it def. comes down to the richest and most beautiful sound. So good luck to finals. I honestly wish I could see al choirs there but these finals are sure making groups nervous and are freaking out about it. I have a feeling this is going to be the biggest showdown non fame compitition I have ever seen. Good luck to choirs, practice hard and just remember to have fun.

True... lol. They do it well. I'd rather them sing and tap and just do what they do best. Rather than immitate Fairfield, Clinton, etc... Because Quite frankly they do it well and they're honestly expected to do 100% traditional show and tap somewhere in it (at the end 95% of the time). I think they do it well.
Well whether they do it well is not what i'm debating... I'm just saying that i'm tired of it... Just an opinion, and i don't think they should change their stripes just for me or anything LOL ... I just get tired of that style...

Actually Findlay has been doing the same "style" of show for years . They were very innovative (I'm sure) in the 90s. J.D. Smith was an amazing director (one of the best IMO). Findlay does it better than their immitators (which we just wont get into ). I too am pulling for the tapping brigade from Findlay.
i guess i don't mean that findlay is necessarily an imitator because you're right.. they have been doing it for ages... but i mean... it's been AAAAGGGGGEEEESSSS. Most of the choirs that did that back in the 90's have moved on... north Central who i mentioned being one of them.
