Judges definitely had some tough decisions to make today, so many great performances over the past 24 hours here in Nashville!
I don't ever recall seeing the judges still at their tables, writing, talking, and (assumably) deliberating for so long after the final group performed. Once the curtain came down on Buffalo Grove, it was a solid 20+ minutes until the judges finished and up and left the venue. Very uncommon to see, in my opinion, but certainly good to know they didn't rush to score. They're not some of the best adjudicators around for nothing.
Congratulations to all of the groups who were here this weekend; best lineup at any competition that I've attended since FAME Chicago 2008, and this one was probably even better. So glad we were able to see so many quality groups under one roof; this event truly felt like Show Choir Nationals.
The difference between first and fourth is six points, and the difference between fourth, third, and second was a point or less than a point. Very very close competition. I am not sure what the spread from first to sixth is unfortunately.
Do you know if that is the average score or the total score?
So, umm... Yeah, would one of you little angels like to post the prelims point spread (by judge if you can), or at the very least full prelims placements?

Really interesting preliminary placements. I'm sure it was a VERY CLOSE contest. Looking forward to seeing the placements for finals tomorrow. Congratulations to all performers - I'm sure it was an amazing experience for all.
Prelims scores, for anyone unfamiliar with SCN, is the finals performance order in reverse order. As in the "lowest score performing first to highest score performing last."
In simpler terms, Prelims:
1st: Glenwood
2nd: Buffalo Grove
3rd: Findlay 4th: Center Grove 5th: Hastings
6th: Mt. Zion
So, FYI, that's how the finals performance order is decided.

Congrats to the six finalists, and to the seventh place group (Homewood) for an outstanding performance today. Wish I knew more placements/point spread.
