I'm just curious about Totino-Grace. Did they have an older group last year and this year the group is just very young or are judges not responding to their show? I know this group will have a less successful year every couple or so. No disrespect to them at all I am just curious about the difference between this year and the last couple. Thanks to anyone who would like to respond to this.

GC- Lincoln Southwest "Resonance" (BC)
1RU- Central (Keller, TX) "Voices of Central" (BC)
2RU- Mitchell "Friend de Coup" (BB)
3RU- Elkhorn South "Blackout"
4RU- Totino Grace "Company of Singers"
5RU- Papillion La Vista "Free Spirit"

Even if this isn't one of TG's better years, what a marquee placement for Elkhorn South. They're in their -- what, 3rd year of existence? -- and they now own a victory over one of the most prestigious choirs in the nation. Not many groups can say they've accomplished that.

Also, always awesome to see Keller show up! It's always a great day when a show choir from Texas places!

Congratulations to everyone here today. I heard it was an amazing competition.

The only thing that could make this better would be if ATSC had been competing! #rivals

So proud of all the groups. Keller, you hold a special place in my heart. Keep being awesome. Wish I coulda seen everybody!

Didn't stay for the finals but saw all of those groups. Felt like Mitchell, Totino Grace and LSW were a step above Elkhorn South, Keller and Papio. Anxious to see the results.

Nice, although sarcasm doesn't always translate well electronically. And you have a typo.

lol. embarrassing.

Edit: Fixed. Also, I feel like it would be hard to *not* catch the sarcasm. Also, I don't care anymore. I'm an old man. I've lived a happy life.

Edit: PS do you guys totally dig my new signature? Everyone in this thread has inspired me to take a stance... <:

Update: According to my super secret totally 100% reliable source, daytime scores have Mitchell and LSW tied.

As a matter of personal opinion, she said that elkhorn south "will probably outscore TG" in daytime. CRAZY STUFF IS HAPPENING UP THERE.

Edit: PS do you guys totally dig my new signature? Everyone in this thread has inspired me to take a stance... <:

MORE Edit: She also said that Keller was better than everybody but those tied for first, so that's also cool. I LOVE KELLER. Also, I now live in Dallas so I feel a special connection.

I think he meant score wise, because that is also what I've been hearing.

That I did. I'm so proud of my lil' sis! Will def be buying a dvd of this one.

LAWDY I wish I could be there, watching finals. Rumor has it that LSW went first in daytime... shiza! I wonder if they're just THAT good this year or if mitchell/TG are having slow starts to their years. Somebody better post finals results!
LSW Resonance actually had the very last time slot during the day time performances. The order in which the choirs are listed above for Finals is not in order of performance, since the order of performance wasn't clarified. If someone could clarify, I would gladly switch it to the correct order.

edit: or perhaps you meant their score was the best. I was thrown off by "went first" ... LSW has been very strong lately, I wouldn't be surprised.

Idk the answer to that question, but I was looking at the schedule earlier, and they just had too early of a time slot IMO. Since this competition was so even and stacked, a lot of times it just comes down to time slots. The judges might not remember you if you're that early and there are many groups that are just as good as you after.

I saw their show, they had a great set, awesome dancing, and good vocals. I was really entertained for most of it! It just shows how good all the groups that are there tonight are, and how close it's going to be over all.
I wouldn't be suprised if each judge's final placements is significantly different from the next.

Wow. Sioux City East misses finals. Serious question for those out there, when was the last time Sioux City East missed finals at a non-national competition? Its been.... since before I can remember.

Predictions:

GC. Mitchell
1RU. Totino Grace
2RU. Lincoln Southwest
3RU. Elkhorn South
4RU. Sioux City East
5RU. GISH

Keller, Ralston, GINW, Papillion La Vista, or Lewis Central could grab one of the final spots. I really think the 4-11 spots are going to be ridiculously close.
