Nope, sorry...our videographer went out of business a few years back and we haven't contracted one to do the invitational for at least a few years. Sorry.

So was there really not a video shot here? I've been told there wasn't but..a couple years ago there definitely was. So is this just recent or have I been misinformed? I would pay copious amount of money for a copy of the finals performance. Anybody got anything?

The is the first GC for Anderson ever
It is? Do you mean for "Vocal Infusion"? Or for Anderson HS as a whole? Either way, wow I didn't realize that. Congrats to Anderson! It was definitely just a matter of time. I know Highland won a few GCs in their day, so now that they "fused" it was only a matter of time until Anderson achieved a GC.

'Twas very close...and the only group to keep their placement from day to finals was Busco. Garrett and Bellmont flipped by a handful of points as well.

GRAND CHAMPION: ANDERSON VOCAL INFUSION (Best Vocals)
1RU: DeKalb Classic Connection (Best Choreography)
2RU: Churubusco New Era
3RU: Bellmont Brave Generation
4RU: Garett Encore

Women's Grand Champion: DeKalb Sound Sensation (Best Vocals, Best Choreography)
1RU: Anderson Vocal Elegance
3RU: Bellmont Legs

Anderson went into finals two points behind DeKalb. They won by 1.5 point. They were behind visually by 2 points. Due to the 60/40 Vocal/Visual weighting, their vocals pushed them ahead just enough. That's how flippin' close this was.

Such a good competition. What a feel good way to end our season. Thanks for the memories all.

The is the first GC for Anderson ever and to compete against someone as awesome as dekalb is just incredible. Congrats to the Dekalb ladies! Another great day of competition and a bittersweet day for us as it was our last competition

Yes we did! We were overcome with joy after beating the reigning State Champions. DeKalb is such a solid program and always make for great competition. Had such a blast.

Looking forward to vicariously relive the good ol days through some friends this weekend. lol

May the odds be in their favor should history repeat itself...

and may the best choir win!

I said they would be at one point. I was misinformed... And I remember that year well. Highland won, yes? I was assistant stage manager then. Was a great show, and the whole finals were an absolute blast.

I'd throw mine in the ring, but I'm going to be in tabulations. Something about making a public prediction and then tabulating the scores doesn't sound right...and God help me if I were to be correct.

(I guess that means that if there are mistakes, you all know where to direct the pitchforks...)

@dandn5000

Hey thanks so much! :D

I appreciate it. Highland went to your competition a few years ago and I remember it being really clean and well run and friendly atmosphere so I'm really looking forward to attending this year. Plus I love the New Vision show. Awesomesauce.

Thanks again.

@jdL: Both women's performances will be scored. I only mentioned that all women's groups will be in finals because traditionally, we take the top 3; in this case there are only 3, so all will be performing in finals.

@222sXe: I'll try to get a list. And it will be small mixed champion, which will be awarded in day show, and women's and overall mixed champions, which will be awarded at the night show.

Pardon my inevitable ignorance but do we have a list of judges?
Please and thank you.

And also. Are there awards for each class?

As in: is there a Tier 1 champion, a Tier 2 champion and so forth. Or is it just small, women's and overall?
