I can't remember the order, but York, Poquoson, and another group placed. I'm pretty sure York got 1st place but I'm not 100% positive.
All of the groups we saw last night were fantastic. Unfortunately we did not get to watch Mills Godwin "Madrigals" because we were in the warm up room, but I am always blown away by their vocals and overall musicality. I have heard nothing but great things about their performance last night can't wait to see everyone tomorrow!
So due to myself being cheap and not wanting to cough up the $650 dollars to fly there this weekend, I am not going to be in attendance, but I want to wish all the choirs the best of luck and I hope yall have an Amazing Time!
Clover Hill, Your competition was fantastic. Completely ontime, extremely friendly choral boosters and hosts/performers.
New Dimensions... Your show is phenomenal, break legs at Finale, I'll hopefully make it there to root yall on!
When I was in Monacan's "Center Stage" in the early '00's, we coined a unique pronunciation of Kecoughtan, which I shall attempt to phonetically spell for you...
"Kee-koff-taw".
Hahaha (:
We were actually just talking about the silent "gh" in Harbor Lights the other day. We usually hear "keh-koff-tan," and always tell people, "kih-kuh-tan" or "ki-ki-tan."
Kecoughtan's girl group is called Touch of Jade. But I'm glad Kecoughtan was spelled right (:
