Carroll was really good (better than last year) and its definitely nobodies fault that the comp went over time. no competition I've been to has ever went perfectly...
Also, this is their first time running a competition with a gymnasium performance venue, which had to be an adjustment for all of Carroll's tech dads and the like. Gyms are difficult to work with all around, and most of the competitions that I have attended that ended up behind the most were gyms. It's almost to be expected.
1. After watching Minstrel Magic's show I have never been more ashamed to be a Carroll alumni.
2. Running more than 30 minutes behind is unprofessional and just plain annoying.
*I enjoyed the groups that made finals and am pleased with their placements.*
True, they probably could have cut their exhibition, and announced awards on time, But things happen, and it's fairly normal for competitions to run behind.
It's a high school activity. How much professionalism do you expect from parent volunteers? Seems kind of unreasonable.

That seems pretty fair to me. I wasn't there, but Zionsville is INCREDIBLE this year, and Carmel is always nearly unbeatable. Norwell had a great week last week and clearly they are singing wonderfully this year. I really hope that Franklin Central didn't peak at Pike, but I could totally see this being a legitimate result.
Congratulations Zionsville and Carmel! I love Zionsville's show this year, and Carmel is probably my all time favorite choir, if you consider the 70's and 80's as well as their recent performances.
FC, I'm so confident in you all this year, Just don't peak to early and get bored with your show. It's one of the best I've seen this year, and I know your directors, choreographers, and arrangers worked very hard to make you such a force this year. Get back to work, and take the titles you deserve.
I have a feeling that the order of performance may have been a factor here, but regardless of who had gone when, the top 3 or 4 was going to be a huge fight.
Congrats to everyone, I'm sure it was an amazing show, I'll be ordering the DVD
I watched finals tonight, and I would have placed Norwell at fifth and even though I did not see the day shows, I was surprised they knocked DeKalb out. I was figuring Carmel, FC, Zionsville, Huntington North, Norwell out of those five.
I'm sure you are more qualified than the panel of judges.....guess you figured wrong
Wow results are shocking. Having seen most of these choirs I think the final results are lousy at best. I can't believe FC got fourth.
That's how I'm feeling.

To Norwell, wow, I counted 20 singers on stage, and for them to knock off all these powerhouse groups, that is ridiculous what's in the water over there?
When someone gets the final placements please post them!! Thanks so much! It was an awesome comp to go to today! Wish I could have stayed for finals!!
Cant wait to hear the results!!!!!!
