I think that EEE will definately take home Grand Champion! Their show is AmAZiNg and Jon Speagle is one of the most talented singer/performers I have honestly ever seen. His voice will give you the chills the second he opens his mouth! Make sure you don't miss them, or Jon's solo! *Good Luck EEE!*

I think its a toss up between MTZ or EEE....because both have great clean and well executed shows...but that doesnt mean any of the other groups cant give them a run for their money!!!

Very true!

im sorry but i saw john burroughs highn and they werent great...they were actually quite pathetic in new york...vocals were shot and their choreo was arms..and i have it on tape so dont yell at me for not knowing what im talking about...EEE will smoke this one..mt.zion isnt too impressive to me but they are great..im not saying they are bad they are great but they arent up to par like they usually are...now good luck to all the groups but u gotta realize tha im not trying to bash in the other groups but for john burroughs ur n cali and the comp there isnt as good as the comp is here so i dont care if u won all like u did last year but this is a new league for u but i will say that i hope u do well..i would love to see someone other than EEE or mt.zion win it!!!!!!!!!!!!!! but i think it will be one of those 2 and my pick is EEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!and u remember that u asked me for my opinion so dont yell at me for chipping in my 2 cents.

I am truly grateful for your opinion, and to be honest, i agree - it probably will go to eee or zion, but this is definitely not a new league for us....powerhouse took GC at Branson Fame three years ago and have been in the game for as long as it's been around...basically, we know what we're up against.

JohnPH>7: I'm originally from the midwest, but now live in Los Angeles. I've seen Mt Zion, Clinton, Center Grove etc... and I was at the Big Pow Wow last Friday night. As for Showstoppers being a new league, that might apply for the majority of choirs out here, but excellence is excellence and you and Burbank and Hart rank right up there with the best anywhere. Will you win in Chicago? Who knows? Any choir can have an off performance on a given night, but I stand by my statement that you should not be overlooked.

Don't overlook John Burroughs PowerHouse.  Difficult material sung as good as any show choir I've ever heard.  (Whatever you do in Chicago, don't miss their ballad.)  It's a unique show, filled with special effects, costume changes, and very difficult choreography (the speed of their last number is unbelievable.)

But the best part is these kids don't appear to just know this show; they come across more professional than that.  They know how to perform - period.

thank you so much for the compliment! Im glad you enjoyed our performance (even tho we didnt do so well) and good luck to everyone @ showstoppers!!

When is this comp? It's going to have very interesting results, as Buffalo, EEE, and MTZ have been battling it out all year long!

The arrangments and choreography has to be at a certain difficulty level to achieve the maximum amount of points.  If you have an easy show and do it well, it still wont be enough to get you into finals.

Tell that to Petal

I honestly feel whoever wins won't be because of politics.  With the exception of Marty Demott, none of the other judges have seen any of these groups yet.

isnt Sue Moniger going to be judging??/ Cuz if so...she's seen us too......Either way it goes....this competition will be fierce! Man...i cant wait....good luck to everyone....it's like a big tie breaker between EEE, BG, and MTZ " border="0" alt="sweating.gif" />

Three main things that the judges at showstoppers look for: Difficutly, Versatility, and Execution.

The arrangments and choreography has to be at a certain difficulty level to achieve the maximum amount of points. If you have an easy show and do it well, it still wont be enough to get you into finals.

There must be versatility between song to song. A show that has the same style for each song won't do well at this competition.

The execution of the singing and dancing must be near flawless. If you have the difficutly but can't execute it with ease, you won't earn the maximum amount of points.

At this competition, the most exciting show won't always win. You have to work the score sheet in order to come in the top 3, let a lone win. It's pretty obvious that the win will be between BG, Mt Zion, and EEE.

However, look at the shows between these three very different groups. I think if you evaluate their shows based on these three categories, you'de be surprised at who potentially will win. All three have difficult shows. Obviously Mt Zion having the difficulty in choreo, and vocally I would say its between BG and EEE. Versatility would have to go to BG. Nobody is as versitile as this group. As far as execution goes, that would be between BG and Mt Zion. Even though EEE does have a difficult show, i think the other two execute theirs better...just my opinion.

Looking at all of this, its hard to really say who will win. Each of the three does one or more of these categories exteremly well. I will be shocked if Mt Zion doesn't walk away with Best Visual, BG with General Effect, and EEE or BG with Best Music. I honestly feel whoever wins won't be because of politics. With the exception of Marty Demott, none of the other judges have seen any of these groups yet.

Its no question EEE should take it. I mean the only group to stop them recently has been Petal. But with politics today who knows what will happen. Jorge inspired me to do this:

Political Winner: Buffalo Grove

Possible Winner: MTZ

Logical Winner: EEE

I would be happy if Mt.Zion won.

I would be ecstatic if EEE won!!!!!!!

That feels soooo good to read!!! Thanks
