Pike - Even though this is my own group, we deserve a shout out. We improved sooo much over the weeks. I love you all and I have never loved a show soo much as I love ours. (even though I've only done 2) I poured my heart into this year and I thank every member for making it soo special to me. I'm really gonna miss it alot.
Teays Valley - I love you guys. You are sooo awesome. The competition is really hard and I wished u would have placed higher but hey. You all are soo awesome. (and the uptown girl soloist is hott when he sings SHHhhh....don't tell him) LOL. Ally I am thoroughly in love with you. And I had a fun time talking to a parent from your group. You guys are really awesome. Good luck in the future!
Plainfeild/Plainfield - (I can't spell) OMG I love you guys soo much. You know I do. You are sooo good and I died everytime I see you're show. Your soo nice too. Mystiques - I klnow you didn't realize your goals this year. But you should be sooo proud of what you've accomplished. Laf Jeff- You guys were really good. You cleaned up well in a week. I knew you'd do great during the results. I have to say something though: I think it's great how you guys act during competitions. I don't know if your director tells you to do that or if..you all just like doing it. Walking down the hallways really silently. I think it's amazing how the guys look offstage.. glasses..kind of dorky looking, then on stage you guys are like WOW! Hott! I like you guys. Maybe someday you'll talk to me, randomly.. Or maybe I'll just have to force yout o speak to me! Haha
Ok..so I went for finals...and yay! Awesome-ness ensued. I got there right at 9...and Pike was already 5 minutes or so into their performance, so congrats to LC for being ahead of schedule!
Pike - Saw you on the TV...much cleaner...fuller sound. So much improvement from last week! Way to go!
Lafayette Jeff - I still don't care for your show...but the choreo was much cleaner, as were your vocals. A well deserved first runner-up!
Teays Valley - First time I've seen you this year live...and I love it! Great show as usual! You deserved every bit of that Best Visuals award! I do feel that the girl's number and closer lacked vocally as compared to the rest of the set...but still...I love you guys!
Plainfield - I don't really care for your show at all...but you sang very well, better than Teays at times...well deserved 3rd place.
North Central - I can't begin to say how much I love your show. You guys are always entertaining and amazing. As Dru said earlier, Africa is the best ballad EVER. Awesome job!
LC - Whoa! I like you guys this year, mostly! The first half of the show is very entertaining! Your choreo is soooooooooooooo much better than in years past! And as far as the contest...you did a great job hosting...so congrats! My only issue is with the girls closer outfits...they're kinda...umm..tiny. I'm really surprised parents let that one get by. Doesn't detract from the vocals though..amazing as always! Great job again on the contest.
To the Pike Encores, congrats on a great showing yesterday!! You've worked so hard through some unusual circumstances this year, and I admire and respect your persistence in making a very difficult and groundbreaking show look and sound great. Also, to Mystiques. I know you didn't realize the goals you set, but I'm still proud of how you worked for me and improved steadily. Your showing at your invitational was wonderful and your vocal improvement blew me away. It's been an honor to work with both groups again this year. God Bless, Damon

And Varsity Singers! I heard you guys during exhibition! But I also want to shout out to all of the FANTASTIC singer/dancers at TEAYS VALLEY!! You have stolen my show choir heart forever! hey thanks to everyone from LC for a fun day! to our hosts, sorry we didnt win the host competition lol evidently our lack of vibrato became a problem for one judge oh wells. you guys were awesome, fun, and inspiriational, and we definitely realized before we walked on that stage that win or lose, we played the right game and who really cared either way? it was definitely the most fun we've had, we all felt it was the best (but we havent seen the tape so we really dont know) we've done, and all i gotta say is our seniors dont wanna graduate so we must be doing something right!! thanks to everyone at LC for being fun, positive and just plain groovy! NC wouldnt bring all our competition groups to this comp if we didnt LOVE it!!
