Wow... didn't think I was gonna make it home when i got out of Muscatine. What a fun day full of groups I've never seen live before.

First of all, Adam- you really did a great job emceeing. Probably the most involved emcee ever, and I know all the wash kids absolutely loved you. Note- before Xuberance's finals performance you had a trivia question about the 05 opener. there was a xavier mom sitting in front of me and before you asked the question(s) I went: "Willamania. Laura Fuller" no joke. I am amazing HAHAHA

Secondly, Lincoln Southwest... I love your opener. SO much. That is one of my favorite songs of all-time and you did it VERY well. Powerful and just good- the band was just EXCELLENT- i thought you would win combo. I don't really like a lot of your arrangements- some of the songs had weird stuff added to them and weird chords/phrasing. There is a guy with hair very much like mine who has a problem with oversinging. Your voice can be heard over the rest of the choir, and when you overpower everyone else the tone quality is bad. We all know you have a great voice because you had an excellent solo (probably my choice for Male Solo) so please remember that you are a part of a choir and oversinging can result in a point deduction, plus its not pretty to listen to. However, Resonance, your show is SO my style and I very much enjoyed watching it! I thought you deserved second place and I was glad to see everything get so much better in finals. Congrats.

Third... Xuberance is fantastic. Might be one of the best prep groups I have ever seen besides protege 04. Really really good. I'm not gonna lie, I was shocked to hear you were in 2nd after prelims, but I thought your finals performance was amazing; much better than day round. So just really great. You all perform 100% (sometimes maybe a bit too much, if that is possible). And the band was ROCKING in finals! This is just going to be a fantastic year for you guys!

Fourth- Adam was right... Muscatine's opener is so much more exciting in person than it is on that bad YouTube vid (not your fault adam) I was very impressed with the level of your show. I think building the story may have distracted from finding the most entertaining songs, but it was still a very very good show. I agree with Ghunt about the women's vocals. that is probably the weakest part of the show. faces were excellent. I was SO glad you weren't competing today I think you would've had a great chance at winning. and i want to make babies with that beautiful tall girl. I could not take my eyes off of you.

Lastly, Momentum Your finals performance was absolutely 10000% fabulous. The band really supported the choir and the energy and i think that is what won that caption for you. I am so incredibly proud of the focus and determination you have. I could not stop dancing in my seat, this show was just SO MUCH FUN! I might have to stalk you guys a couple more times this year because... it's just great. I am SO PROUD. You made this competition a memorable one for me. Congratulations you guys, you really deserved it!

there were multiple things that made the trip to Muscatine worthwhile. to name a few...
- Xub pullin out the prep division win, and getting 3ru.
- Seeing Momentum's Jai Ho...dont particularly love the song, but im not sure ive ever seen a choir so blatantly show how much they love a song while they perform it. Momentum. loves. Jai Ho. and I loved watching them love it on stage. Definitely inspiring.
- Trolls. if you were there...you understand.
- Learning the start of Muscatine's opener from a member of RCR. such a good song.

so yeah, good day. It's definitely fun to just be a spectator when you get the chance.

From what i heard Momentum is first and Lincoln Southwest is in 2nd.

From what i heard it was close between Celebration and Xuberance but both were great shows! Can't wait to see how this will play out.

Way to go to Miles too, he is such a great singer!

From what I hear, they are really far behind right now. They might be skipping the lunch break to get caught up a little but that is what i am being told.
