A judge put you in 6th? Were they on crack?

In the day show a judge had us in 1st, another in 2nd, another in 3rd, and that same judge in 7th. But whatever i guess. It was his opinion. There is nothing we can do now. We just have to go out and perform the best we can!!

Two judges had us in 2nd, one in 3rd, and then the last one in 6th. So we are proud of ourselves.

Well as long as you did your best and walked away with your heads held high, thats all that matters.

Well, not so stupid am I. Looks like Twinsburg was only a few points behind BG and not only did Carroll beat Northrop, they were way behind the top group. Win for me.

Carroll's mixed group did a fantastic job considering the number of people ill and not able to sing. Also, the soloists for the daytime show were all backups that had to step in at the last minute. You all rocked! You guys are all doing a great job this year. Keep it up. We are extremely proud of all of you!

Congrats also to Select Sound. Awesome job winning GC 3 out of the last 4 years!

Go Carroll! You guys have such a great show this year! You guys held your own against some big name choirs! Great job!

Thank you so much! We have been working so hard this year. Luers has been doing so great too! How many GC's now?!? I haven't gotten a chance to see your show but I can't wait!

Buffalo Grove: Awesome Job! You always have such an amazing well-blended sound...while not pushed. Even though I "expected" your show, i still enjoyed it very much. Congrats on a well-deserved win!

Twinsburg: Most surprising group in finals, in a good way! I honestly expected this group to be having a bit of a down year, with a director change and the results at portsmouth. But they sang extremely well, and most def. had the sharpest choreography there. Costumes were interesting, but appropriate to the show. Loved the opening costumes! Like Buffalo grove, your group had a very mature sound, that I didn't feel was pushed.

Carroll: Best Carroll show in years! You guys are singing better than ever, and looked great...although the costumes were a little out there. I felt like you pushed your sound a bit though and oversang at several points, with no dynamic change. I think this may have kept you behind Twinsburg.

Northrop: I honestly expected this group to place higher at Dekalb, but after the night show, I felt that the placements were accurate. This group also had a full sound, but like Carroll, I felt like this show was pushed vocally in several places. Charisma was def. the loudest group in finals, which i doesn't always make for the best vocals. It def. had it's moments, but I felt like the whole show was sang in "ff", with not many parts. I loved the song selection, and choreography was very clean. For my taste, the costumes were not extremely original, with too many changes. I loved the show, and you guys are very entertaining.

Dekalb: Most entertaining show of the night by far, great energy. Costumes were amazing as always, especially the end ones. Loved the purple dresses individually, not sure how i feel about them with those suits though. Vocally this group has a bit a cleaning up to do if they want to sing as well as Dekalb's 2008 & 2009 groups...just an opinion. Best choreography of the night however Love the guitar soloist. I felt also that you guys oversang in some spots as well, but not to the extent of Northrop and Carroll. Great show, and thanks for hosting such a great contest. I probably would have placed you guys second w best choreo had you been competing.

Didn't see Busco or Castle....

This is one of the few contests where I can say the night show awards and placements were spot on with what I would have expected...Great job to all groups who performed yesterday, and especially to Dekalb for hosting such a professional and well-run contest!

East Noble won small school and swept Vocals and Choreo.

Nope. Lakeland got best choreo. I don't remember 2nd runner up, but it was Lakeland 1st runner up, EN won varsity. It was super duper close...If I recall correctly, EN lost choreo by a point and won vocal by 5. I don't remember best female solo in show, but best male was East Noble's Scott Kreigh.

Women's GC was Carroll, 2nd place was Castle(I think...), and 3rd was EN Premiere Edition. Best solo in show went to East Noble's Lizzy Tremaine, Carroll got best choreo and vocals.
