Unfortunately, Edgewood's Music Warehouse, Sophisticated Ladies, and New Edition have canceled their trip to Danville, Illinois. We had to cancel school today because of weather and it looks like it isn't going to let up. Good luck to everyone and safe travels!

I heard the weather was getting bad. Hopefully all of these amazing groups will still be coming.

Considering the performances from the show choirs in the first weekend of competition (Mt. Zion), here are my predictions for finals

Grand Champion: Eisenhower
1st Runner up: Center Grove
2nd Runner up: Manteno
3rd Runner up: Edgewood
4th Runner up: Pekin
5th Runner up Sullivan

This is NOT biased to any show choir. Best of Luck to all of the participants and have a great weekend!!!

Good luck to all the groups. Just remeber the judges looking more towards the vocals than choreography. So, EVERy group has a chance!

Yes, however vocals are usually not EEE's strongest suit, and I think CG has a BIG advantage on them in that part

You're very right. I was SHOCKED to hear CG beat Ankeny's vocals at FAME Chicago. CG works on their tone quality and I applaud that. But in 06 their vocals were so off. I mean they lost vocals to CR Jefferson at Pike that year, and Jefferson sang terribly that year. But that was an off year vocally for CG... That's why I say barring a catastrophe I think CG will win.

Haha im just saying that pekin is going to be a big group this year. Yes I have heard of all these groups and yes I know that this probably won't happen but they're just predictions. No one will know what will happen until the day of the competition and who will win. But i don't quite think that pekin will be all the way at the bottom of finals at our competitions this year. Don't get mad just cuz I was over doing predictions, I just want people to watch us this year and see that pekin has really changed into a top caliber group. Sorry I made you all mad with these predictions, it was just my feeling of what the competition could be like. But I would really look for pekin to be one of those groups you didn't expect this year. So please just check us out and see how I feel about all of this. Haha just what happens when you want your group to be good and you know they can be that good.

I pretty much completely agree with this!!! The only thing is I predict EEE will take home the choreo caption. I've also heard CG sing absolutely terribly before so if their show is a wreck EEE could pass them. But pending a catastrophe I agree with what you have.

I was thinking that but it seems like every time I see Center Grove perform, they are spot-on. I would love to see Eisenhower jump in there and steal a caption or two and maybe even a Grand Championship.

Here's what i think. (No favoring my group intended.)

Girls:
It's really a toss up. All the groups are pretty much evenly matched. I imagine that Pekin and El-Paso Gridley will go for a rivalry again this year as to how they changed places so many times last year. All captions are toss ups too.

Small School/Prep:
GC: Manteno Magic
1RU: Herscher Class Act
2RU: Edgewood New Edition
3RU: Glenwood Titan Fever
4RU (if awarded): Watseka Sensations or El-Paso Gridley Modulations (it's a toss up)

BV: Manteno
BC: Manteno

Large School:
GC: CG Sound System
1RU: Pekin Noteables
2RU: Eisenhouer Elite Energy
3RU: Sullivan Singers
4RU: Edgewood Music Warehouse
5RU: Crete-Monee Cavaliers

BV: CG
BC: Pekin

Finalists:
CG Sound System
Pekin Noteables
Eisenhouer Elite Energy
Sullivan Singers
Manteno Magic
Herscher Class Act or Edgewood Music Warehouse

Final Results:
GC: Pekin Noteables
1RU: CG Sound System
2RU: Manteno Magic
3RU: Sullivan Singers
4RU: Eisenhouer Elite Energy
5RU: Herscher or Edgewood

BV: Pekin
BC: Pekin

I have a feeling that both Pekin and Manteno will have better finals performances and prelims.

Please don't think that I'm favoring my own school; I just feel that we're really in the mix where I've put us.

no.

Well I always go on the humble side. So I will take my stab. I am not sure about anyone else but I know that this will be Edgewood's first competition, as it was last year. So I am not sure how they will do. But that is why we actually have the competition.
